Thrill Seekers

Anyone who enjoys a carnival atmosphere is going to have an absolute ball playing Playtech’s 5-reel, 50-payline slot game called “Thrill Seekers.” It features a funfair theme, complete with calliope music, colourful marquee lights and the rotating canopy of a carousel as part of the background motif.

Each of the 5 reels has four positions, so there are 20 reel stops in total. The player can wager on any number of paylines from 1 to 50 by clicking on the “Lines +1” or “Lines +5” buttons below the second and third reels. The player may also choose to play from one to ten credits per line by clicking on the “Bet” button below the first reel.

Available credit denominations range from €0.01 to €5.00. The +/- toggles for adjusting the credit value are located in the lower right corner of the screen. Clicking on “Bet Max” will automatically set bets on all 50 paylines at the maximum 10 credits per line. That makes the maximum wager per spin €2,500 when playing €5 credits.

To start the game, simply click “Spin.” Winnings are displayed in the “Win” section below the fifth reel, and the player’s current balance shows in the screen’s lower left-hand corner. For those who like to activate Autoplay and allow the game to spin by itself, Thrill Seekers has a pull-down “Tools” menu at the very top of the screen. Clicking on Autoplay reveals +/- toggles next to the spins indicator in the lower right corner of the screen. The number of auto spins desired can also be typed directly into the counter—up to 9,999 spins maximum.

The reel symbols available on Thrill Seekers reflect the carnival aspect of the game. Basic symbols are treats, from Candy Canes, Chocolate Shakes, Ice Cream Cones, Candy Floss and Popcorn, paying from 5X to 150X whenever three or more matches appear on an active payline.

High payouts can be claimed by matching just two or more thrill rides, which include symbols for the Pirate Ship, Dark Ride and Roller Coaster. Line bet multipliers range from 1X up to 500X. Payouts are made only for alignments running from left to right, and only the highest win is paid per line.

The Clown serves as the game’s wild symbol. It substitutes for any other symbol except those for Bonus or Scatter. When 2, 3, 4 or 5 Clowns line up on a payline, they pay 10X, 200X, 2000X or 10000X, respectively. The Attraction Ticket is the game’s scatter symbol. Catching 3, 4 or 5 Attraction Tickets pays a multiplier of the total bet from 10X to 50X to 200X, respectively.

Whenever three or more Attraction Ticket scatters appear anywhere on the reels, the Free Spins Bonus is activated. It consists of 10 free spins with all wins doubled except the Bonus. Because the Attraction Tickets remain on the reels during the feature, it is possible to retrigger the free spins indefinitely.

Catching 3, 4 or 5 Hammer Bonus symbols on an active payline initiates the Super Hammer Bonus. A second screen appears, showing a “Ring the Bell” hammer game surrounded by other attractions. Clicking on the “Hit” button in the middle of the screen causes a clown to appear and strike the game’s launcher with a huge wooden hammer. When the bell rings, a cash prize value will appear. Clicking on “Continue” returns the screen display to the main slot window.

The Thrill Seekers video slot is linked into Playtech’s progressive Dollar Ball Jackpot. Participation in this lotto-type feature can be enabled by using the toggle in the upper right corner of the screen. Then, five numbers from 1 to 49 can be selected and as the main slot game is played, five winning numbers will be drawn at random. Getting 1, 2 or 3 numbers correct will pay 1X, 2X or 25X, based on the total wager made. Catching four numbers pays 1% of the progressive jackpot, while getting all five numbers awards the grand prize.
