Triple Profits

As the name of this Playtech slot game implies, the them of “Triple Profits” is money, money, money. Specifically, the motif reflects a situations that almost all slot players would love to experience someday—that of sitting in a counting room surrounded by stacks of cash, coins and gold ingots.

Although the game may at first glance appear to have a 3-reel format with three horizontal paylines, Triple Profits actually belongs to the category of “multispin slots.” Initially, only the reels at the very bottom of the screen are active. When they come to a halt, the player has the option to click a “Hold” button at the bottom of each reel to freeze 1, 2 or all 3 symbols in place for a follow-up spin.

Whenever a symbol is held, it will appear on all three paylines. The player also has the option to hold no reel symbols in place and instead spin them all on the respin. Clicking on “Spin” will cause all unheld positions on the reels to spin independently and come to rest one by one. Payouts are then made for the highest winning combinations on each payline, and the amounts awarded are displayed in the centre of each line. There are also displays for Total Bet, Line Bet and Paid amounts to the right of the reels.

Available coin denominations range from €0.01 to €5.00. The value can be adjusted by using the +/- toggles next to the bet indicator at the lower left of the screen. It is necessary to make a minimum wager of three credits to cover all three of the game’s paylines. The amount bet per line can be adjusted from 1 to 5 credits by using the “Bet One” button on the control panel below the reels. Clicking on Bet Max will apply a wager of 5 credits to each payline, but it does not change the denomination of each credit. The maximum total wager is €75 per spin.

Clicking on “Paytable” at the bottom of the screen will open a second screen showing the active symbols and payout rates. Three Lead Weights on a payline is the lowest payout, worth a multiplier of 1X. The very highest payout is awarded for three Wild Gold Bullion symbols in a row, valued at 1000X and making the top prize €75,000 for betting the maximum with a €5.00 credit denomination and catch all three Wilds on the initial spin.

Other symbols include Balance Scales, Calculators and Safes. Matches of these on a payline pay from 5X to 15X, and random combinations of the three pay 2X. The Blue, Green and Red Money Bags are worth 20X to 50X when matched or 5X in a random combination. The Blue, Green and Red Dollar symbols are worth 50X to 100X when matched or 15X in a random combination. The Wild Gold Bullion can substitute for any of the symbols to create a winning combination, although a single Wild alone pays 2X and two Wilds pay 5X, so only the highest award is paid.

One other symbol on the reels is the Stack of Cash. Three consecutive Stacks of Cash triggers the Triple Profits Bonus Game. A second screen appears showing a table in the counting room. Located on the table are balance scales, stacks of currency, coins, gold ingots and a dozen blue money bags. Each money bag hides a cash award.

The player is prompted to “Pick bags to win a prize!” In total, three of the 12 bags may be selected and they disappear when clicked. A “Total Win” message appears immediately after the third bag has been chosen, displaying the cash prize amount. Clicking on the message then returns the screen to the main slot game, where the bonus award is added to any winnings from the last spin.

Note that for the purpose of accessing the Bonus Game, the Wild Gold Bullion also can substitute for the Stack of Cash symbol. That means when the two symbols appear on the initial spin, they can both be held in anticipation of catching a match on the respin.
