One of the most recent additions to the line up of arcade attractions at online casinos like Bet365 is “Spin It,” a colourful, fast-paced fixed odds game developed by Dynamite Idea Interactive Gaming. Although it has some similarities to Roulette and other spinning wheel games, Spin It is all about colours and card suits, with no need to think about numbers at all, other than the odds of winning.

The game display for Spin It features a set of five concentric rings with a green “Shuffle” button at the centre. The outermost ring is for the “Win” light, which remains darkened until the game is in put in play. The three middle rings are each made up of 13 coloured segments. One of those segments contains the “Star” symbol. The other twelve are divided into colours as follows: Red and Green segments in the outer ring, Yellow and Purple in the middle ring, and Orange and Blue in the inner ring.

The innermost of the five rings also has 13 segments, with one reserved for the Star symbol. The remaining twelve are divided equally into four symbols each for the suits of a card deck—Spades, Hearts, Diamonds and Clubs. Clicking on the green Shuffle button will randomly reconfigure the colours and card symbols. It can be clicked as many times as the player likes in order get a favourable pattern of colours and card symbols.

On the right side of the screen is the Spin It control panel. Toward the bottom is a window that shows the chip denominations used for wagering: £0.50, £1, £5, £10, £15, £20, £25 and £50. The value can easily be adjusted by using the +/- toggles on either side.

Directly above the chip indicator is the betting area, which contains 11 types of wagers: the four card suits, the six colours and the Star symbol. The current odds for each bet are shown to the right of the type of wager available. Passing the cursor over a betting area will also pop up a display of the associated odds. Clicking on a betting area will make a wager of the chip denomination selected. The amount of the Total Stake shows in a counter above the betting area.

To begin a game of Spin It, simply click on the green “Play” button at the lower right corner of the screen. The Win light will begin circling the game display in a clockwise rotation, gradually slowing down until it comes to rest outside a set of the coloured segments. Those segments will light up, as will their corresponding betting areas. The amount won will be paid automatically and the game will reset for the next spin.

To make wagering easy, a yellow “Rebet” button and a red “Clear” button are provided above the Play button. It is possible to repeat the same wager and play again or else rebet and add to a wager. Otherwise, using the chip indicator new bets can be made.

Odds on the various outcomes depend upon the number of segments allocated for each colour, ranging from 12X for just one segment to 1.09X for 11 segments. When the number of segments is six, the payout is 2X. The Star symbol always pays 12X, and the card suits each pay 4X.

Spin it does not have an Auto Play function or a Turbo mode, nor is there any kind of background music. However, there are sound effects and they can be turned on or off by using the “Sound” toggle located in the pull-down menu under the “Options” tab at the top of the screen.
