The Championship Preview

With most teams just having two games remaining in the Championship It promises to be a dramatic end to the season and here is our guide to the games this weekend.

BRIGHTON v YEOVIL, Friday 25th April, 19:45, Sky Sports 1

This is a big game at both ends of the table with Brighton knowing a win will move them back into the play-off slots ahead of the Saturday games. The Seagulls are 4/9 (GENERAL) for a third victory in their last five games. A word of caution though Brighton have won just one of their four previous at home to the bottom five. Yeovil are fighting for their life and are 8/1 (bet365/BETVICTOR) while the draw is a 19/5 (BETVICTOR/betway) chance. RECOMMENDATION: NO BET

BURNLEY v IPSWICH, Saturday 26th April, 12:15, Sky Sports 1

The already promoted Burnley are 11/8 (GENERAL) for victory as Sean Dyche should be applauded for the remarkable job he has done. Ipswich are still in the hunt for a top six finish and are 9/4 (BETVICTOR/SPREADEX) to play party poopers. The Suffolk side will come here needing all three points so 4/5 (betfair SPORTSBOOK) on both teams to score looks the way to play this as they take more risks going forward than they may do in a normal week. RECOMMENDATION: Yes both teams to score,

3PM Kick-offs

Birmingham have lost seven of their last ten and shipped four last week. Ross McCormack then has to be backed to net at anytime as he has 29 goals already for the season.

Also at the wrong of the table Barnsley face a must win game at Middlesbrough though the North Eastern side have lost just three of their last ten games and will proven stubborn opponents. Another side desperate for points at the bottom are Blackpool though an away game with Wigan is not ideal as the Latics are looking to secure a slot in the top six.

Millwall are looking to keep some distance between themselves and the bottom three and they are a generous 16/5 (BWIN) to get something from a QPR side that have already secured their play-off slot. The Lions might just have that extra fight and following victories at Forest, Wigan and Middlesbrough in recent road games should have nothing to fear from going on the road here. Throw in the security of the draw by taking them with a 0.5 start on the Asian Handicap which is on offer at 19/20 with bet365.

Two sides who need points for different reasons are Doncaster and Reading with the Royals currently occupying the sixth spot in the play-offs and Donny just above the relegation spots. Doncaster had to work hard to get their point against Millwall last time out playing most the game Monday with ten man and as such Reading could be value to take advantage here. Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest both know that they need all three points if they are to keep their slim play-off hopes alive and it is the Cherries who are the 13/10 (GENERAL) favourites while the East Midlands side are 23/10 (BETVICTOR). This looks one for those who like to play YES in the both teams to score market as this has been the result in the last seven for Bournemouth and four of the last six for Forest.

One final bet I like is Chris Maguire to score at anytime for Sheffield Wednesday as he has netted in each of his last three and is 2/1 (GENERAL) to get among the goals vs Bolton.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Millwall +0.5 on Asian Handicap v QPR, 19/20 (bet365)
Reading to beat Doncaster, 5/4 (GENERAL)
Ross McCormack to score v Birmingham, 11/8 (betfred)
Chris Maguire to score v Bolton, 2/1 (GENERAL)
