Despite the news that Red Bull driver Mark Webber is to leave the team at the end of the season to race Porsche supercars (in a competition not just around the streets) I expect it to be business as usual for Red Bull this weekend. Here is out guide to the best of the bets from the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.

Firstly let us get to the issue that will be concerning most people can a British driver win this? No I am afraid not. Bookmakers are going 13/2 (BETVICTOR/paddy Power/ladbrokes) that a home driver will win Silverstone which is a bet that offers no appeal at all. Hamilton will be the most likely though he has yet to really transfer his form in qualifying to the race. Jenson Button is not having a great season in the McLaren while the talented Paul Di Resta is doing great things in the Force India his main concern will be to get amongst the points.

British fans though can maybe take a small comfort from a Red Bull victory as they do have a factory just 30KM from the course in Milton Keynes. Well maybe not. Sebastian Vetterl is the 2/1 (betfred) favourite and I this looks a great price. The German was in dominant form at Montreal three weeks ago with a lights to flag victory to open up a 36 point lead in the title race. Silverstone is a venue that he has done well in winning here in 2009 and finishing on the podium in 2011 and 2012. Take the value on the superior driver in the best car at a track that he knows well.

Sticking with the Red Bull and Mark Webber is another who looks worth siding with. The Australian is 10/1 (sportingbet) to win the race and 8/5 (BWIN) to finish on the podium and it is the latter bet I would recommend. Webber has a great record at Silverstone making the podium on each of his last four visits, winning in two of the last three years. The Red Bull driver has also been in reasonable form with a fourth in Montreal and a third in Monaco.

Others expected to feature prominently are Fernando Alonso who is the second favourite at 11/4 (GENERAL). The Ferrari driver has been hampered by his performance in qualifying where he has failed to make the front two rows of the grid in his last three races. The Spaniard has been driving well just nobody can afford to give Vettel such a head start.

Kimi Raikkonen is another who likes Silverstone having won here in 2007 along with five podium appearances. The Lotus has struggled in recent weeks though getting away from the street circuits and some recent car improvements mean they will enter the week a lot more confident. The Finn has produced the fastest lap on four of his six appearances here and if the improvements are to be believed then he might be worth a small interest at 12/1 (BETVICTOR/CORAL) in the fastest lap market.

Romain Grosjean has had a disappoining time of things recently with a 13th in Canada and having to retire in his two previous races. Improvemenets to the Lotus and a return to Silverstone should suit him as he won a GP2 race in 2011 and finished sixth here last year. He looks worth a bet at 2/1 (STAN JAMES/BWIN) to finish among the top six.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Sebastian Vettel to win the British Grand Prix, 2/1 (RED BULL)
SILVER: Mark Webber to finish on podium in British Grand Prix, 8/5 (BWIN)
BRONZE: Romain Grosjean to finish in the top six, 2/1 (STAN JAMES/BWIN)
