Premier League

Just one live game takes place in the this Sunday as Cardiff host Man City (4:00pm, SKY). The Bluebirds.can take heart from the fact they won more points than any side at home in the Championship last season (51) and the fact that City have won just four of their nine league away games in 2013 so far. Throw in the fact that City won just one of their three away games to the newly promoted sides last seasons (drawing at West Ham, losing at Southampton) and some fans might want a little of the 15/2 (bet365) on a famous victory. City won six of their ten games against bottom half sides last season, drawing two and losing two plus they were dominant against Newcastle in a 4-0 victory and are 9/20 (GENERAL).

It has been a long time since these sides have met so the head-to-head record is not to relevant though the draw has been the most common result in the past and is priced 15/4 (bet365).

If you think City will win but find the price too short then you can look to enhance it. The Citizens have kept a clean sheet in 12 of their 19 league games so far in 2013 and you can get 16/11 (BWIN) for them to win the game to nil or 11/10 (GENERAL) they keep a clean sheet. Should Craig Bellamy score he will be the first player to score for seven different clubs in the Premier League and he is 11/2 (SPREADEX) to net at anytime while the Bluebirds new signing Andreas Cornelius is 18/5 (888 SPORT/unibet).

Sergio Aguero is a 11/10 (GENERAL) chance to score after his opening day strike though just 33% of his goals for Man City in the Premier League have come away from home. Edin Dzeko did not score in the opening game though he did manage eight shots on target which is the kind of strike-rate that means it will not be long until he is among the goals. The Bosnian is 6/4 (SKYBET/boylesports) to score anytime which looks worth taking.

The other game in the Premier League game on Sunday is between Tottenham and Swansea at White Hart Lane (4:00pm) between two sides in Europa League action on Thursday.

Spurs are the 4/6 (ladbrokes/william hill) favourite for the game as they seek to continue a run of home form that has seen them win nine and lose just one of their last 13. The head-to-head record also favours the North London side as the Swans have taken just one point from their last four games with Tottenham.

I think Swansea can get something from this game as they looked good last weekend against United until Van Persie and Welbeck caught fire for the Red Devils. I suspect Bony and Michu will end the season with more goals combined than Soldado and whoever plays just behind him (at the Moment Sigurdsson).

You can back Swansea at 11/2 (bet365) while the draw is 3/1 (GENERAL). Tottenham have won just three of their last 21 home games by more than one goal so look to side with Swansea on the Asian Handicap with a +0.75 start at 11/10 (paddy Power). This will pay out on a Swansea win or a draw while only a half loss if they lose by one goal.

The top two in the Championship meet Sunday lunchtime at Vicarage Road with the home side 6/5 (GENERAL) , the draw at 13/5 (william hill) and a Forest victory is 13/5 (BETVICTOR/STAN JAMES/SPREADEX). Forest have kept a clean sheet in all three of their league games and will look to keep it tight so I sugget a play on NO in the both teams to score market at 5/4 (paddy Power).

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Swansea +0.75 on the Asian Handicap v Tottenham, 11/10 (paddy power)
SILVER: Edin Dzeko to score anytime v Cardiff, 6/4 (SKYBET/boylesports)
BRONZE: NO in both teams to score in Watford v Forest, 5/4 (paddy power)
