Juventus vs. Bologna - Betting preview and odds

October 4, 2015 17:00pm - Juventus Stadium

Serie A

Reigning Serie A champions Juventus will be hoping to get their league campaign back on track when they meet newly-promoted Bologna in Turin on Sunday night.

One win in six for Juve

La Vecchia Signora have just a single Serie A win to their name this season having lost half of their games and drawn two others. In stark contrast, they got off to a flying start in their Champions League campaign beating both Manchester City and Sevilla in their opening group games.

This contradiction in form has left many fans and observers scratching their heads and wondering when normal service will be resumed on the domestic front. With 10 points separating the Turin side from leaders Fiorentina, Coach Massimiliano Allegri will be hoping that it is sooner rather than later.

Bologna near rock bottom

I Rossoblu are newcomers to the league and it comes as no surprise to see them already making themselves at home in the relegation zone. They have started the season as badly as expected having lost five out six games, and yet they remain just two points behind last year´s Champions League finalists. Bologna have yet to draw a game and their only win came at home against Serie A minnows Frosinone.

Despite the poor form of the home side, even the most optimistic Bologna fan will not be expecting to take away anything other than pride from this game.< p>

Team news

The big news for Juventus in midweek was the return from injury of new signing Sami Khedira. The German international finally made his debut and put in an impressive performance in the Champions League win over Sevilla. The Zebras will be hoping that he can be the catalyst for a league revival starting on Sunday.

Betting odds and tips

Juventus are looking to bag their first home win of the season and a game against Bologna should provide the perfect opportunity to achieve it. You can back them to Win to Nil at a best price of 8/11 with Paddypower.

It should be a comfortable day for Allegri´s men but a huge score line should not be expected. Bologna are likely to park the bus for this one so a 2-0 home win at 9/2 with William Hill looks like the best bet in the Correct Score market.
