It is gameweek nine in the NFL this week and the first of the triple header of live action on Sunday (18:00,SKY SPORTS) comes from New York as the Jets play host to the Saints.

Bookmakers have the visiting New Orleans 2/5 (SKYBET/TOTESPORT/william hill) favourites for the game as they look to continue their impressive 6-1 start to the season.

The Jets though are no mugs at home and three of their four wins this season have come in front of their own fans. At home they have seen off the Patriots, the Bills and the Bucs and they can be backed at 12/5 (BETVICTOR) for the victory here.

The bet I like comes in the touchdown scorer markets which is headed by the hot hand of Jimmy Graham. The Saints tight end grabbed two touchdowns against the Bills last weekend and will fancy his chances against a Jets defence that is giving up points to tight ends. The problem is though Graham is an injury worry and likely a gametime decision on whether he starts. Instead then consider Kenny Stills who has three touchdowns from the last two games and the rookie wide receiver can be backed at 19/10 (ladbrokes).

The second game of the day is the battle between the Eagles and the Raiders in Oakland (21:05, SKY SPORTS). Oakland are the 3/4 (BETVICTOR/WINNER) favourites for the game as they look to continue a 3-1 home record for the season. The Jags, the Chargers and the Steelers have all fallen victim to the Raiders at their own stadium.

Philadelphia started the season so well with a high octane, high powered offence performance against Washington but have gone backwards since. The offence has been badly misfiring in the last two games so I can not be siding with them at 5/4 (TOTESPORT/betfred). The best bet in this game could be in taking the Raiders (16/5-william hill) to win the first half and the Eagles to win the second half. Oakland has outscored opponents by 59-20 in the first half of their last four games while in the second half they have been outscored 63-10.

The Colts and the Texans do battle from Houston in the third and final live game on Sunday (01:30, CHANNEL 4). The visiting Indianapolis are the 5/6 (boylesports/paddy Power) favourites for the game as both sides comes off a bye week. The Colts are 5-2 on this season while the Texans are just 2-5 and probably the most disappointing team in the NFL this season. As bad as the Texans have been though you have to think they will go all guns blazing not to give up the divisional title at their own ground. As such I think this will be a fun game to watch but not one to get involved with from a betting point of view.

The bet I like most in the remaining games is the Browns to see off the Ravens when these sides do battle in Cleveland. The head-to-head record suggests Baltimore as they have won each of the last 11 meetings between the pair. This though is the weakest Ravens team for a while and they have lost three of their last four games. The Browns meanwhile ran the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs close last time out and at odds of 6/5 (SKYBET) look worth siding with against a poor travelling Baltimore side.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Cleveland Browns to beat Baltimore Ravens, 6/5 (SKYBET)
SILVER: Oakland win 1st half, Philadelphia 2nd half, 16/5 (william hill)
BRONZE: Kenny Stills to score touchdown anytime v Jets, 19/10 (ladbrokes)
