Sunday sees Premier League top four hopefuls Liverpool take on Blackburn Rovers at Anfield in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup. Rovers currently sit in 10th in the second tier of English football but are a massive 13 points from the play-off zone. The Lancashire club take on the FA Cup favourites, Liverpool being available at 2/1 at a number of bookmakers to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament. Blackburn are the outsiders at the best price of 66/1 (Betvictor, Coral, Spreadex, Stan James).

Indeed, it is the Merseyside club who are the favourites to progress through to the semi-final with a victory at home. Brendan Rodgers` men, who are unbeaten in 13 games at Anfield in all competitions, can be backed at 1/3 at william hill. Gary Bowyer`s visitors, who have picked up six points from their last five league games, are available at 12/1 at a number of turf accountants (betfair, betfred, Totesport, william hill) with a draw a 5/1 outcome with both bet365 and betfair. The match ending tied on Sunday would see the fixture replayed at Blackburn`s Ewood Park.

Both clubs entered the FA Cup draw at the third round stage with Liverpool opening their tournament account with a 2-1 win away at League Two side AFC Wimbledon. Steven Gerrard broke the deadlock against Neal Ardley`s men before Adebayo Akinfenwa equalised for the home side just 10 minutes before the half-time whistle.

Gerrard bagged a brace by hitting the second goal 15 minutes into the second half and can be backed at 16/1 at betfair and paddy Power to score two or more goals again on Sunday. Alternatively, the captain is an 8/1 chance (Betvictor, paddy Power) to break the deadlock.

The Reds failed to score at home against Championship side Bolton and so, with the game ending goalless, the two teams were forced to replay the encounter at the Macron Stadium. Liverpool had to come from behind after veteran striker Eidur Gudjohnsen put the Whites in front just 15 minutes into the second 45 but Neil Danns` sending off allowed the visitors to get back in the game. Raheem Sterling and Coutinho bagged goals in the dying minutes of the match to complete the turn around. William Hill have 9/2 on there being another sending off on Sunday whilst 11/2 says it will be awarded to Blackburn.

Liverpool were once again forced to come from behind against fellow Premier League club Crystal Palace after Fraizer Campbell put the Eagles in front on the 15th minute. Daniel Sturridge levelled up just minutes following the restart before Adam Lallana grasped the winner. Twenty-five-to-one (betfred, Betvictor, ladbrokes, Skybet, Totesport) says Blackburn will be leading at half time only for Rodgers` men to be victorious at the full time whistle. Blackburn`s third round clash saw them beat off fellow Championship side Charlton Athletic by two goals to one. Chris Taylor scored the only goal of the first half for the visitors in London before Johann Berg Gudmundsson equalised five minutes after the restart. This balance was not sustained for long as Taylor bagged the winner on the 59th minute. The midfielder is a 125/1 chance (bet365, ladbrokes) to grab two or more goals against the Reds.

Taylor was again on the scoresheet in the fourth round, equalising at home to Premier League club Swansea City following their opener from Gylfi Sigurdsson. The score remained 1-1 until deep into the second half, Rudy Gestede making it 2-1 with 10 minutes to go before Craig Conway made it 3-1 Rovers with just minutes left to play. This was the second of three occasions that both Rovers and their opponents have managed to hit the back of the net in the FA Cup, 23/18 (888sport, unibet) says both teams will score on Sunday.

Finally, Rovers beat Stoke 4-1 at home in the fifth round, coming back from Peter Crouch`s deadlock breaker. Josh King scored a hat-trick as Gestede converted a penalty for his second FA Cup goal of the season. Another King hat-trick has been priced up at 500/1 at ladbrokes.
