PETER WRIGHT v ADRIAN LEWIS Thursday 27th February, 19:15

The SSE Hydro in Glasgow is the venue for the fourth week of action in the Darts Premier League and the action gets underway with an intriguing opener between 2013 PDC World Champion Adrian Lewis and 2014 runner up Peter Wright.

Jackpot (Lewis) is the evens (GENERAL) money favourite for the game as he looks to bounce back from a poor showing against Wes Newton last week (losing 7-2). Lewis seemed to be showing a new level of consistency and then threw in that stinker last week. Snakebite (Wright) meanwhile is 15/8 (boylesports/BETVICTOR) after was defeating Phil Taylor to make it two wins and one draw from three games.

I like the betway market that will pay if both players to win at five legs in an even game
RECOMMENDATION: Both players to win at least five legs, 11/10 (betway)

ROBERT THORNTON v WES NEWTON, Thursday 27th February 20:00

The Glasgow home side will be looking to cheer Thornton on to victory in the second game of the night and the Scot is the evens (CORAL/william hill) favourite. Thorn bounced back last weekend after two early losses to defeat Gary Anderson throwing a remarkable 105 three dart average. This was the highest score of the night and the Scot will be looking for revenge against Newton who knocked him out of the PDC World Championship. Av It (Newton) has won his last two and is 2/1 (sportingbet) for the victory.
RECOMMENDATION: NO BET

SIMON WHITLOCK V PHIL TAYLOR, Thursday 27th February 20:45

Who would have thought four weeks in a battle between Phil Taylor and Simon Whitlock would be a must win for both players as they look to get their first points on the board. It is Taylor who is the favourite 5/11 (888 SPORT/betway/unibet) and this will surely be a popular bet amongat many. That being said I can not bring myself to back the Power then again nor could I back the Wizard at 4/1 (GENERAL) who has also been poor. The recommended bet instead is Taylor to grab the most 180s at 13/8 (STAN JAMES/william hill) as three losses might result in the Power shifting his tactics to hit more maximums. Whitlock has also only managed two all tournament to three of Taylor.
RECOMMENDATION: Taylor most 180s, 13/8 (STAN JAMES/WILLIAM HILL)

MICHAEL VAN GERWEN V RAYMOND VAN BARNEVELD 21:30

Mighty Mike is the only player to have won all three Premier League games and he is 5/6 (CORAL/SPREADEX) to see off Barney who has started the tournament well with two wins and one loss and he is 21/10 (boylesports). The younger Dutchman won both meetings in the Premier League last season although Barney won a recent clash in November. In the last few weeks Barney has thrown 89 and 95 for his three dart average and as such I like the 17/20 (betway/BWIN) that his average is under 98.5 on Thursday night.
RECOMMENDATION: van Barenveld 3 dart average under 98.5 17/20 (BETWAY/BWIN)

GARY ANDERSON V DAVE CHISNALL 22:15

The final game of the evening looks to be a close battle between Anderson and Chisnall with bookmakers struggling to split the pair with the Scot 7/5 (888 SPORT/unibet) while Chizzy is a 6/4 (bet365/boylesports) chance. This looks like another to take up betway on their offer of both players to win five legs.
RECOMMENDATION: Chisnall and Anderson to both win five legs, 11/10 (BETWAY)
