Stock perfect visitors for a Fulham side in a pickle

If a side has put in a poorer half of football this season than the one Stoke produced against Norwich in the first 45 minutes then I have not seen it. Okay Newcastle were very bad against Everton but at least they had an excuse that they met a side playing full of confidence. Stoke were up against a Canaries side who were painfully short of form and proceeded to give them a load of space to play and dictate the game. Norwich played well but could not have asked for an easier three points.

The Potters then will be the perfect visitors for a Fulham side desperate for a victory. Though the Whites have lost six of their last seven at home I think they will surely know that this represents one of their best chances to get three points all season. Odds of 29/20 (BETVICTOR) look worth chancing especially against a side that has won just three of their last 31 away matches in the top flight.

Cardiff have made a promising start to life in the Premier League sitting in 11th place after six games. Next for them is a home game against 16th placed Newcastle United. The Bluebirds have lost just one of their last ten home games in the league and that was a late and narrow defeat to Tottenham. If you think the Welsh side can get all three points here then you can back them to do so at 7/5 (TOTESPORT/betfred/paddy Power). The draw has been the result in four of these seven and that is a 12/5 (GENERAL) chance while Newcastle to register a third victory from their last four away in all competitions is 9/4 (BETVICTOR).

It might be worth an interest on Ben Turner to get among the goalscorers as he is 15/1 (888 SPORT/unibet) to net at anytime. Newcastle have conceded three goals already this season from set-pieces while Cardiff scored from a corner last weekend. Turner is a dominant figure in the air winning a high ratio of his aerial duels and he is worth chancing at these prices.

Hull take on Aston Vila at the KC Stadium as the home side look to build on a run of form that has seen them win their last two league games and take seven points from a possible nine available at home. The Tigers are 7/5 (sportingbet/BETVICTOR/paddy Power) victory while Villa are 23/10 (BETVICTOR) for a third league away victory this season.

Both sides will be without key players, Hull minus Brady while Villa will miss Benteke. The bet looks in the evens (GENERAL) on NO in the both teams to score market. Hull have conceded just once in their four home games in all competitions this season while only two of the last six Villa games have seen both teams score.

I would like to give Crystal Palace some hope ahead of their trip to Anfield. Perhaps remind them of the story of David v Goliath. Sadly though at least David had a slingshot to hurt his opponent, the London side have no such weapons. They also set to go up against the combined forces of Suarez and Sturridge so the Reds are pretty much a gimme though odds of 2/9 (GENERAL) offer no appeal. Those who think Palace can spring the shock can get them at 16/1 (STAN JAMES) while the draw is a 6/1 (GENERAL) chance.

The bet here could be Jose Enrique to score at anytime as the flat back three system will allow him more chances to get forward and the 12/1 (ladbrokes) seems generous.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Fulham to beat Stoke, 29/20 (BETVICTOR)
SILVER: Jose Enrique to score anytime v Crystal Palace, 12/1 (ladbrokes)
BRONZE: Ben Turner to score anytime v Newcastle, 15/1 (888 SPORT/unibet)
