It is Burnley who are the unlikely pace-setters in the Championship with 23 points from their first ten games. The Clarets have a tricky home game with Reading this weekend and are 11/8 (TOTESPORT/betfred) to defeat the Royals. The visitors though are also in good form with four wins and two draws from their last six games.

Any slip up from Burnley will allow QPR who are 9/20 (BETVICTOR/188 BET/betway) to defeat Barnsley. A number of loan signings including keeper Jack Butland has improved the Tykes and they might be value on the Asian Handicap to avoid a heavy defeat against a QPR side who have won just one of their nine league games by more than one goal.

Leicester are also on 23 points and they are away to Doncaster. Donny have goals in them since the loan of Federico Macheda so it could be one for the both teams to score market.

I think at these odds it has to be worth taking Yeovil to get something on the Asian Handicap with a 0.75 start against Middlesbrough. The North Eastern side have won just one game all season in the league. True the Glovers have struggled this season but they are always battlers and have picked up draws against Sheff Wed and Bolton and beaten Millwall so they do well against teams around them. A start of 0.75 means that it will only be a half loss if Yeovil only lose by one goal which they have managed to do in recent games with Leicester, QPR and Ipswich. So get involved at the best price of 10/9 with 188BET.

Leyton Orient remain top in League One despite being held by Walsall last weekend which meant the 100% record was gone for the London side. They will hope to get back to winning ways this Saturday when they travel to Oldham. The Latics have failed to win any of their last five games and Orient will have their supporters at 13/8 (BETVICTOR).

The game of the day is the battle between second and fourth which sees Peterborough and Preston do battle. Posh have won seven of their last nine competitive home games and are 5/4 (BETVICTOR) victory while North End have won their last five and are 5/2 (GENERAL). The best bet in the division though comes in the game between Shrewsbury and Carlisle where the visiting Cumbrians look value to get something. Since the introduction of caretaker boss Graham Kavanagh Carlisle have won three straight and they are value at 8/9 (188 BET) on the Asian Handicap. This games them a 0.5 start against a Shrewsbury side that have not won any of their last seven games.

Chesterfield suffered their first defeat of the season at home to Mansfield last weekend and this time around they are away to a Morecambe side who are also in good form having gone six games unbeaten in the league. It is 12/5 (SPREADEX) a Morecambe victory while the Spireites are 13/10 (GENERAL) to take all three points.

Mansfield are the form side in the division and it a surprise to see them as big as evens (BETVICTOR) against a Hartlepool team that have won just one game all season.

Jordan Chapell is a favourite of this column and he continues to be overlooked by the bookmakers. The Torquay man has four goals from his last seven league games and is a value selection at 4/1 (SKYBET) to score anytime against a York side who have shipped 12 goals in their last six games.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Yeovil on the Asian Handicap, +0.75, 10/9 (188 BET)
SILVER: Carlisle on the Asian Handicap +0.5, 8/9 (188 BET)
BRONZE: Jordan Chappell to score anytime v York, 4/1 (SKYBET)
