The TV cameras will be at crown Ground this Saturday lunchtime (12:15pm) for the live game between Accrington Stanley and Portsmouth. The home side Stanley will be boosted by the giantkilling of Middlesbrough in midweek in the League Cup which was needed after a 4-1 opening day defeat by Newport. Stanley are 9/4 (SPREADEX) for victory in this the first ever league meeting between these sides.

Portsmouth also suffered a comprehensive first day defeat going down 4-1 to Oxford in front of an exceptant home crowd. Being away from home might actually help Pompey this season as every side will treat a visit to Fratton Park like a cup final. Pompey suffered a defeat in midweek though it was no disgrace losing to Championship side Bournemouth 1-0. The visitors are 8/5 (BETVICTOR/william hill) for victory and although I think they could get all three points here the price in the outrights represents no value what so ever.

David Connolly is expected to lead the line for Portsmouth and he is 15/8 (BETVICTOR/paddy Power/STAN JAMES) to score at anytime while fellow Pompey frontman Tom Craddock is 2/1 (SPREADEX) and Patrick Agyemang who scored in the opener is a 14/5 (SPREADEX) chance. Danny Webber is a 13/5 (paddy Power) chance for Accrington while cup hero Marcus Carvers is 10/3 (william hill) to score anytime. Goals could be the way to play this game as both sides have firepower and look shaky at the back. Take the game to have over 2.5 goals which can be backed at 19/17 (188 BET).

The best bet in this division looks in taking Fleetwood to see off Plymouth at 13/8 (BETVICTOR). Fleetwood started the season witb a comfortable 3-1 victory over Dagenham and Redbridge before going down 3-2 to Notts County in the League Cup. It is clear that manager Graham Alexander has a talented squad on his hands and against a Pilgrims side who have just played 120 minutes in midweek against Birmingham the squad depth should prove to be a real asset.

In the outright preview of the division at the start of the season I suggested that York could go well at a big price and I was boosted in this opinion by an opening day victory over Northampton 1-0. The Minstermen are away to Dagenham and Redbridge this week with the hosts having conceded six times already this season. Nigel Worthington will remind his players that they did the double over the Daggers last season and that his side have not lost in the league since March 23rd (a run of seven league games). Dagenham and Redbridge meanwhile have lost their last four home league home games scoring just once in this process. Back York at 9/5 (paddy Power/william hill) to take all three points.

Another bet I like the look of is in the Burton v Rochdale game and I am shocked to see Chris Hussey as big as 10/1 (paddy power) in the anytime scorer market. Hussey grabbed two for Burton in midweek against Sheffield United in the League Cup. Hussey is strong in the air which will be crucial as Burton have a couple of decent wingers capable of getting the ball into the box. In addition they also have Rory Delap who can deliver his set pieces and throw ins into the box. Burton will be dangerous at set plays and Rochdale defence must be switched on from the start.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Fleetwood to beat Plymouth, 13/8 (BETVICTOR)
SILVER: York to beat Dagenham & Redbridge, 9/5 (paddy power/WILLIAM HILL)
BRONZE: Chris Hussey to score anytime v Rochdale, 10/1 (PADDY POWER)
