Eleventh plays 12th at the Hawthorns this afternoon (Sunday 9th November, 13:30) with home side West Bromwich Albion looking to stop the meteoric rise of Newcastle United, who have ruled supreme in their last four games in all competitions.

Alan Pardew`s men grabbed their first win of the season against Premier League new boys Leicester City back in October. A single goal from former Manchester United winger Gabriel Obertan sealed the win and topped off a solid performance from the home side.

Despite having to wait so long for their first league win, victory number two came just seven days later. Both Sammy Ameobi and Ayoze Perez hit the back of the net in the second half to see United come from behind against Europa League staples Tottenham away from home. With pressure on Pardew easing, the Tyneside club dumped holders Manchester City out of the League Cup with an unlikely away win. Their place in the last eight was confirmed with Moussa Sissoko doubling the lead earned with Rolando Aarons powerful sixth minute strike.

The four game unbeaten run was complete last time out with Perez netting the only goal in a home victory against last season`s Premier League runners-up Liverpool. The substitute bagged the goal with 15 minutes remaining. The Spanish youngster is 29/10 (Betvictor) to grab a goal against the Baggies at any time. He is also 9/1 (Betvictor) to score first and 20/1 (bet365, paddy Power) to bag at least two.

Alan Irvine`s West Brom will be hoping to bring Newcastle back down to reality this afternoon, the black country club unbeaten in their last three top-tier games. The Baggies did, however, suffer an embarrassing 2-1 defeat away at Championship side Bournemouth in the League Cup fourth round. Their late equaliser an own goal from the Cherries` Tommy Elphick before Callum Wilson`s even later winner.

Prior to this defeat, Albion had recorded back-to-back 2-2 draws in the Premier League against an in transition Manchester United and Crystal Palace, who were struggling in spite of an initial up-turn in results after the appointment of Neil Warnock.

Saido Berahino hit the back of the net in both matches, including a 90th minute leveller against the Eagles. Stephane Sessegnon`s 18 yard effort put the Baggies in front against United whilst Victor Anichebe hit the first of his side`s two goals at home to Palace. Berahino is 13/8 (Betbright, betfair) to celebrate his England call-up with his seventh league goal of the season against Newcastle.

Meanwhile, only an own-goal from Leicester`s Esteban Cambiasso was needed to give WBA an away victory last time out. It is the home side who are the favourites to secure successive victories in spite of their opponents` stunning run. West Brom can be backed at 23/17 with Bwin whilst Newcastle are 5/2 with bet365 and Matchbook. A draw is available at 41/17 with Betbright.

Irvine won`t be able to call upon Craig Gardner who finds himself suspended following his picking up of five yellow cards. The midfielder has played in all of Albion`s previous games but joins the injured Silvestre Varela and Jonas Olsson on the sidelines. Both players are currently suffering from Achilles problems though will be back to full fitness after the international break.

The Magpies will be without Leicester hero Obertan who was stretchered off in the team`s last game against Liverpool. The Frenchman sustained a serious thigh injury. An on-going problem keeps Cheick Tiote out whilst Rolando Aarons and Papiss Cisse are doubtful as Newcastle aim to snatch the win that could see them rise to as high as seventh.
