It is a bumper day of Premier League action on Sunday (29th) with four games taking place in the top flight. Here is our guide to the best of the bets from these fixtures.

The SKY cameras will be at St James’ Park (13:30) in what should be an entertaining battle between sixth placed Newcastle and table toppers Arsenal. Bookmakers make the Gunners the 21/20 (GENERAL) favourites as they have lost just three of their last 28 matches in the Premier League and are undefeated in 14 of their last 15 league meetings with the Magpies. Newcastle are going well though and are undefeated in their last six at home in the league and can be backed at 29/10 (boylesports) while the draw is on offer at 27/10 (bet365).

This promises to be an entertaining game between two sides blessed with goalscoring options and the best bets might come in the anytime scorer market. Theo Walcott has four in his last three games and is 21/10 (bet365/BETVICTOR) to net, while Yoan Gouffran has scored in the last five home games and is 4/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred) to score at anytime.

Also at 13:30 but not on television is the game from Goodison Park where Everton take on Southampton. The Toffees suffered a first home defeat of the season at Sunderland but could count themselves unlucky the way they played and are 10/11 (CORAL) to see off Southampton. The Saints were excellent in a 3-0 victory over Cardiff and are 19/5 (william hill) to defeat Everton while the draw is 27/10 (bet365/BETVICTOR).

Both these sides are without their first choice keepers while the Saints are missing a couple of influential holding midfielders. Goals could be the order of the day here then so take the 5/6 (ladbrokes) on both teams to score and the 20/21 (ladbrokes) on over 2.5 goals.

Two games kick-off at 16:00 with one of these featuring Tottenham at home to Stoke. I think the 1/2 (GENERAL) on Spurs is an awful price considering the way they laboured to a point against West Brom on Boxing Day. I would be tempted on a little interest on the Potters at 15/2 (TOTESPORT/betfred) alongside the draw at 17/5 (BETVICTOR), but Stoke had a tough second half with nine men against Newcastle on Boxing Day.

The better then is to take the 5/4 (betway) are going on Stoke to keep a clean sheet in the first half when the energy levels are still quite strong. The North London side have found the net in the first half in just one of the last five meetings between these sides.

The best bet of the day comes in the game between Chelsea and Liverpool where I like the Merseysiders to get something from the match at 17/11 (888 SPORT/unibet) in the draw no bet markety. Going to Stamford Bridge is not an easy ask but I just feel that the Merseysiders have too much firepower for the Blues. It is better to keep the draw on side though as Mourinho has shown in big games with Arsenal and Man United that he is happy to take a point from the game and pick up three points elsewhere. In addition take Raheem Sterling to score first at 14/1 (bet365/BETVICTOR/ladbrokes) or 5/1 (ladbrokes) to score anytime. The Liverpool frontman was excellent against City and was to close to being among the goals.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Liverpool draw no bet v Chelsea, 17/11 (888 SPORT/unibet)
SILVER: Raheem Sterling to score v Chelsea, first 14/1 (BET365/BETVICTOR/ladbrokes), anytime 5/1 (ladbrokes)
BRONZE: Stoke to keep first half clean sheet v Tottenham, 5/4 (betway)
