Premier League

Both Stoke and Manchester City have been unaffected by Tuesday night`s games, the two teams preparing to face off at 19:45 tomorrow (Wednesday). Stoke could usurp Swansea in ninth position with a win at home whilst a loss could see them fall beneath Newcastle and into eleventh.

The reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City, are currently seven points behind league leaders Chelsea after their 24 games of the season. Should Chelsea lose to Everton at home and City pick up an away victory, the gap will be reduced to four points. No configuration of results will see the Manchester side fall into third position though Southampton could come to within a point of Manuel Pellegrini`s men, should they beat West Ham and the Sky Blues lose at the Britannia Stadium.

The two teams last met at the Etihad Stadium back at the end of August, the Potters managing to battle out a hard fought 1-0 win on the road. Mame Biram Diouf bagged the only goal of the match for Mark Hughes` side in the 58th minute as City left the Midlands empty handed.

Despite this, the second placed club are the favourites to right this wrong and scoop the three points away from home tomorrow. boylesports have installed City at 3/4, the best price currently among the leading bookmakers. A draw is available at 37/13 with all of 888sport, Betbright and unibet whilst most bookmakers are offering 9/2 on Stoke doing the double over the Citizens.

A correct score prediction of 1-0 to the Potters in a repeat result of the pair`s last meeting will return winnings at a price of 16/1 with Coral.

Whilst such an outcome is considered unlikely, Hughes` boys are unbeaten in all of their last four games at home in all competitions. They last lost at the Britannia against league leaders Chelsea, that clash ending 2-0.

In spite of this, the Midlands side saw off West Bromwich Albion by the same scoreline in their next match on home soil. Diouf bagged both goals in his team`s last encounter of 2014. Their first game of 2015 ended 1-1, Ryan Shawcross grabbing his club`s only goal in their tie with Manchester United.

What followed were consecutive 3-1 victories, the first against Conference side Wrexham in the FA Cup, the second over top tier strugglers QPR in the league. A goal from Marko Arnautovic and a brace from Stephen Ireland saw Stoke come from 1-0 down to see off the Welsh club and progress into the fifth round of the FA Cup before Jonathan Walters hit a hat-trick past Rob Green in the Rangers` net.

His club`s highest scorer from these four games, Walters is 19/4 with Bwin to hit the back of the net at any time tomorrow and is 275/1 with unibet to grab back-to-back home hat-tricks.

Having not kept a clean sheet in three home games, betway and ladbrokes are offering odds of 9/10 on both teams scoring tomorrow.

Indeed, Manchester City have not kept a clean sheet for nine matches and are without a win in four in all competitions. Their away form, however, reads much better, having accumulated three wins and two draws from their last five league games on the road. Again, though, the Sky Blues have only kept one clean sheet in these clashes and are 2/1 with Coral to beat Stoke by a goal (or goals) to nil.

Having bagged a brace against Sunderland back in their 4-1 away victory in December, Sergio Aguero is City`s joint-top goalscorer in these five games. Having hit the third in their 3-1 win at West Brom and their only goal in their draw with Chelsea, David Silva shares this accolade. They can be backed at 18/5 (Betvictor) and 10/1 (paddy Power) respectively to break the deadlock.
