The live game Monday night on Sky Sports is the Lancashire derby between Preston and Oldham which kicks-off 7.30pm from Deepdale. Bookmakers make Preston the evens (BETVICTOR/william hill) favourites for the game as they look to continue an unbeaten start to the league season. The Lillywhites drew their first four games of the season before a 3-0 victory last time out in Walsall.

Oldham meanwhile have had a mixed start to the season winning two and losing three of their five games. The Latics have lost just one of their last four away games which came at Peterborough. It is 10/3 (GENERAL) that Oldham take all three points here.

The draw has been the result in two of the last four meetings between these sides and as stated before in four of five league games for Preston this season and is priced at 5/2 (GENERAL).

Those looking for a bet in the goalscorer market will see the market headed by Joe Garner who is a 19/10 (BETVICTOR). Garner has netted once this season while strike partner Kevin Davies is 2/1 (SPREADEX) to score. The best value scorer option for the Lillywhites is Joel Byrom who has grabbed two in the last three games yet is still priced at 8/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred/STAN JAMES). For Oldham Adam Rooney has scored three in the last three games and is worth siding with at 5/2 (paddy Power/ladbrokes). The score draw has been the result in two of the last four meetings between these sides and the 1-1 draw is the favourite in the correct score market at 7/1 (ladbrokes). Oldham have failed to score in five of their last ten against Preston and are up against a side who have kept three clean sheets from five games in this division this season. Preston 1-0 is also a 7/1 (BETVICTOR/william hill) chance while 2-0 is priced at 10/1 (william hill). Those looking for an Oldham victory can get 1-0 at 12/1 (GENERAL) and 2-1 at 14/1 (GENERAL).

Staying with League One and six games in it is a good time to look at how the antepost markets are shaping up. The outright market is headed by Wolves at 6/4 (ladbrokes) and it is hard to argue with this as they have a wealth of talent at their disposal. Kenny Jackett has done a good job at getting the team over successive relegations and only Leyton Orient have picked up more points than them. Orient are available at 12/1 (BETVICTOR) and were our pre-season tip here with five wins from five games they have had a dream start. Other teams expected to be in the mix for the title are Peterborough 9/2 (GENERAL) and Brentford 14/1 (SKYBET/BETVICTOR). At the other end of the table Carlisle have had a bad start to the season and are the 5/6 (YOU WIN ) favourites for relegation.. It is a market that still has a number of teams in it and as such it might be too early to recommend anyone.

Although League One is blessed with a number of fantastic goalscorers I think there must be some value in taking Tom Bradshaw each-way in the topscorer market at 100/1 (bet365). Bradshaw has three goals in his last three games at this level and the 21-year-old Welshman could be set to catch fire in the next part of the season.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Joel Byrom to score anytime v Oldham, 8/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred/STAN JAMES)
SILVER: Adam Rooney to score anytime v Preston, 5/2 (paddy Power/ladbrokes)
BRONZE: Tom Bradshaw, EW topscorer in League 1, 100/1 (bet365)
