Premier League football fans are in for a treat on Sunday (11th) with a triple-header of live action that gets underway (12:00pm) as Tottenham host Newcastle at White Hart Lane.

Bookmakers have Spurs the short favourites for the game at 3/5 (paddy Power). The North London side have won six of their last eight at home and will fancy their chances against a Newcastle side they have lost to in only one of their last seven league meetings.

The Magpies have taken seven points from their last four Premier League games so confident should be high. These include a draw with Liverpool and a victory over Chelsea and as such they have to be value to get something from a Tottenham side who are struggling for goals.

You can back Newcastle at 6/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred/sportingbet) while the draw is available at 10/3 (bet365/CORAL). I like the idea of combining both these bets on the Asian Handicap where I will take Newcastle with a 1.0 goal headstart at odds of 41/40 (bet365). This bet wlll out in full on a Newcastle win or draw and will refund stakes if the Magpies lose by one goal. Bear in mind that would require Tottenham to score two or more goals to lose this bet which is something they have failed to do in eight of their ten games.

The second part of the triple header comes from the Stadium of Light where Sunderland take on Man City and many will have this down as a home win as City are in stunning form at the moment having won their last three in all competitions netting 14 goals. Sunderland though can draw comfort from the fact they have won their last two homes games in all competitions, beating Southampton in the League Cup in midweek and seeing off Newcastle. The Black Cats have also won each of their last three home games aaginst Man City 1-0 and they are 8/1 (GENERAL) to win and 25/1 (BETVICTOR) to win the game 1-0.

The best bet comes in the anytime goalscorer market where despite having scored five times in his last three games Alvaro Negredo is a 6/5 (bet365/TOTESPORT/betfred) chance.

The game of the day that kicks off at 4.10pm, but more on Swansea and Stoke later, first we have the small matter of the battle between Man United and Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The Gunners answered a lot of critics with back-to-back victories over Liverpool and Dortmund and they will look to continue a run of away form that has meant they have not lost outside of London since November 3rd 2011 and they are 5/2 (YOU WIN) for the victory while the draw is also a 5/2 (GENERAL) chance. United were the team who beat them that day and they have a good recent record against the Gunners losing just one of the last 12 meetings and winning the last eight meetings between the pair at Old Trafford. The Red Devils are 11/8 (paddy Power) for all three points.

The best bet in the game comes in the player to be shown a card at anytime market where I recommend siding with Michael Carrick at 23/10 (paddy power). The Man United midfielder has been booked three times from nine games and might find himself trying to exert a physical influence on the Gunners midfield.

The one non-live game is between Swansea and Stoke at the Liberty Stadium. I would lean to the Welsh side though they have had a tough week with a draining emotional derby against Cardiff last weekend and then a trip to Russia in midweek so I will give this game a miss.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Newcastle +1.0 on Asian Handicap v Tottenham, 41/40 (bet365)
SILVER: A Negredo anytime scorer v Sunderland, 6/5 (BET365/TOTESPORT/betfred)
BRONZE: Michael Carrick to be shown a card v Arsenal, 23/10 (paddy power)
