Premier League

The BT Sport cameras will be at Anfield (20:00) for the Merseyside Derby as fourth placed Liverpool play host to sixth placed Everton. The Red half of Merseyside are 17/20 (bet365BETVICTOR/paddy Power) for victory as they have lost just one of the last 14 Merseyside derbies, winning seven of these. Everton look a stronger side under Roberto Martinez and have already won at Old Trafford this season and drawn at the Emirates. Take the 17/16 (888 SPORT/unibet) on the Toffees in the draw/double chance market as the Reds needed an 89th minute goal from Luis Suarez to rescue a point at Goodison Park.

Arsenal continue to be written off yet they continue to sit top of the Premier League and with eight wins from 11 away matches this season they should be popular here at 19/20 (GENERAL) as the Saints have lost at home to Chelsea and Tottenham in recent weeks. I like Arsenal then to continue their strong away form that has seen win all but three games on their travels in the league this season.

Juan Mata will have a lot of weight on his shoulders ahead of his expected debut at Old Trafford as Man united play host to Cardiff (19:45). The Red Devils are desperate to make up ground in the race for the Champions League and against the side bottom of the table will be confident of all three points and are 2/7 (ladbrokes) to do so. Cardiff have already beaten Man City this season and with former Red Devil Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in charge will hope to spring the shock at odds of 15/1 (bet365) while the draw is a 5/1 (GENERAL) chance. Those looking for a speculative play could do worse than take the 66/1 (BWIN) on Steven Caulker to score the first goal or 25/1 with the same firm that he scores anytime. United are a mess at the back and look extremely vulnerable to set-pieces.

Newcastle are a tempting 7/5 (paddy Power/WINNER) to see off Norwich at Carrow Road. The Magpies are capable of throwing in the odd stinker away from home but also the odd masterful performance. Newcastle have already won six away from home in the top flight this season including at Old Trafford and at White Hart Lane. The North Eastern side have a number of forward options at their disposal as well as goals from midfield from players like Yohan Cabaye. The visitors have hit two or more on four of their seven visits to bottom half sides this season and I like the look of the 11/8 (STAN JAMES) that Newcastle score over 1.5

Crystal Palace are 6/4 (GENERAL) for a victory over Hull that would see them draw level on points with the Tigers and I can not put people off this. The better bet though is the 6/4 (bet365/SPREADEX) that Palace keep a clean sheet as they have in four of their last six at home while Hull have scored just three times in their last seven Premier League away. Swansea have no wins from their last eight in the Premier League you would have to be crazy to take the 7/10 (GENERAL) that they beat Fulham who have won just one of their last ten away. The best bet is the 6/5 (TOTESPORT/betfred/WINNER) that Wilfried Bony scores at anytime as he has grabbed six of the last seven Swansea goals in the league and is up against a Fulham defence with just one clean sheet in their last 15.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Everton/draw double chance v Liverpool, 17/16 (888 SPORT/unibet)
SILVER: Arsenal to beat Southampton, 19/20 (GENERAL)
BRONZE: Wilfried Bony to score v Fulham. 6/5 (TOTESPORT/betfred/WINNER) VALUE: Steven Caulker to score v Man U, BWIN-66/1-First, 25/1 anytime.
