The game of the day in the Championship sees second placed QPR entertain third placed Burnley at Loftus Road (12:15, SKY SPORTS). The Hoops are the 11/10 (BETVICTOR/888 SPORT/unibet) favourites for the game as they have an impressive home record of 11 wins, two draws and just one defeat. The downside is they will have to do it without influential striker Charlie Austin who has picked up an injury that will rule him out for a few months. The Clarets won the previous meeting between these sides and are 3/1 (GENERAL) for victory here while the draw is a 5/2 (GENERAL) chance. League leaders Leicester are the form side in the Championship with eight straight victories and they will be a popular bet with many at 6/5 (BETVICTOR) to see off Bournemouth.
The bet I really like in this division is Ipswich to see off Bolton at odds of 23/20 (BETVICTOR). The Tractor Boys are difficult to beat at Portman Road losing just one of their last seven and they will fancy their chances against a Bolton side who have lost five of their last six away from home. The Trotters will be woefully short of confidence having shipped 14 goals from their last three away games.
In League One it is Brentford who are still setting the pace and they look hard to oppose at 4/5 (ladbrokes) to see off a Shrewsbury side who have lost their last six at home. The Bees meanwhile are 17 games unbeaten, winning 15 of these.
The game of the day is the one that sees fifth placed Rotherham entertain second played Leyton Orient. The Millers have lost just two of their last 14 league games and are 17/11 (BWIN) for victory. Orient though are playing excellent football and have won four straight and have lost just one of their last 11 games in the league and can be backed at 2/1 (bet365/BETVICTOR) for all three points.
A bet I really like the look of in the division is Colchester to get something from their visit to London Road. The visitors are on a good run of form with four wins, one draw and just one defeat from their last six games. The U’s have only lost two of their last ten away games with one of these losses coming at Griffin Park to runaway Brentford. I like the look of them with a 0.5 start on the Asian Handicap at 23/20 (bet365) which will pay out on them winning this game or the tie ending drawn. Posh have managed just three wins from their last 13 games.
Down in League Two it is Chesterfield who are top of the table and they are 8/11 (CORAL) to see off Bristol Rovers though a word of caution the Spireites have won just three of their last nine home league matches.
Standing by hoping to take advantage of any slip ups are Scunthorpe who have drawn their last three games and are 17/10 (bet365/BETVICTOR) to see off a Hartlepool side who have already lost six home games this season.
The best bet in a tricky looking division is Bury to defeat Wycombe at odds of 11/10 (GENERAL). The Shakers have played just three times this month due to weather though David Flitcroft has used his time to revitalise his squad. Bury will fancy their chances against a Wycombe side with five defeats in their last seven.
BEST OF THE BETS
GOLD: Ipswich to beat Bolton, 23/20 (BETVICTOR)
SILVER: Bury to beat Wycombe, 11/10 (GENERAL)
BRONZE: Colchester +0.5 on Asian Handicap v Peterborough, 23/20 (bet365)
