VILLIANS value to steal something from Goodison Park visit

Premier League

After a comprehensive defeat by Liverpool Everton fans will hope from a reaction from their team when they take on Aston Villa at Goodison Park (3pm).

The Toffees have lost just one of their last 20 Barclays Premier League games at Goodison Park and are 4/7 (boylesports) to see off Aston Villa. The price is short as the Merseysiders were awful at Liverpool and have a number of key players out injured. Villa have suffered just seven defeats in their last 25 Premier League away games and none of their last seven visits to Goodison Park. I think the way to play this is to take the 7/4 (888 SPORT/BWIN/unibet) on the draw/Villa in the double chance market and in addition take the massive 3/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred/BWIN) on Benteke to net at anytime as the Belgian looks back to his best with three in his last three games.

Fulham could find themselves cut adrift at the bottom of the Premier League if they do not start winning soon and they must take all three points against Southampton on Saturday.

The Saints are the 5/4 (william hill) favourites against a side that have won just three of their last 15 Premier League home games. Southampton looked excellent against Arsenal in midweek and with key players returning could be a popular bet here. The Saints away record of just one win in their last eight away league games puts me off backing them though I will not be taking the 13/5 (bet365) on Fulham.

The bet then in this game is taking the 7/1 (BETVICTOR) on Steve Sidwell to score the first goal for Fulham as the midfielder has scored in the last three home league games.

Hull will entertain Tottenham at the KC Stadium on Saturday as both sides look to get back to winning ways after disappointing defeats in midweek.

The Tigers will have hoped to have got something from Palace but suffered a fourth successive league defeat and this also how many games they have gone without a league goal after hitting Fulham for six. I can not be siding with the home team then at 3/1 (GENERAL). I like the look of Spurs at 11/10 (BETVICTOR/STAN JAMES/SPREADEX) to bounce back from a comprehensive midweek defeat to Man City by taking all three points. The North London side have won five straight away from home and have to be backed here.

After seeing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in midweek Man United must face another former old boy when they travel to Stoke and take on Mark Hughes. The Red Devils had both Rooney and van Persie back in midweek and with Juan Mata in the starting 11 United looked comfortable. I think a lot has been made that things are suddenly perfect overnight and 3/5 (BETVICTOR) to beat Stoke is far too short. The Potters are no mugs at home with just one defeat from their last eight home games with this coming against Liverpool last time out. It is 13/2 (YOU WIN) that Stoke take all three points while the draw is a 3/1 (GENERAL) chance and I can not put anyone off this. The best bet in this game is the 11/10 (sportingbet/WINNER) that Robin van Persie nets anytime as the Dutchman looked good in midweek against Cardiff and has nine goals in his last eight games against Stoke.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Aston Villa and draw double chance v Everton, 7/4 (888 SPORT/BWIN/unibet)
SILVER: Tottenham to beat Hull, 11/10 (BETVICTOR/STAN JAMES/SPREADEX)
BRONZE: Robin van Persie to score anytime v Stoke, 11/10 (sportingbet/WINNER) VALUE: Benteke to score anytime v Everton, 3/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred/BWIN)
