The second round of fixtures in the CONCACAF Gold Cup start Friday morning (BST) and here is our guide to the best of the bets from these games.

Panama who were our 9/2 tip to win the group pre-tournament are now down to 1/2 (BWIN/188BET/betway) to top the standings after beating Mexico 2-1 in their opener.

Up next for Panama is Martinique also were victorious in their first game seeing off Canada 1-0. The bet here is in siding with Panama who saw off a strong side in Mexico while Martinique saw off a much weaker Canada side. Take Panama at 5/6 (BWIN)to secure the victory that will land them the group. The other game sees Mexico taking on Canada in a must win game for both. Mexico are the 9/20 (betway) and although the stronger side I would not be rushing to back them at that price. The draw is a worry as Mexico have drawn eight of the last 13 matches they have played. In addition two of the three head-to-heads between these sides have ended drawn.

Canada shock victory which was the result in 2000 when these teams last met in this tournament is priced at 8/1 (SPREADEX) while the draw is 7/2 (BWIN).

In Group B Honduras sit top of the table after an opening game 2-0 victory over Haiti. Up next for Honduras is a game with El Salvador and they must be confident of success against a team who drew with a weak Trinidad and Tobago team in their opener. The head-to-head record favours Honduras with El Salvador failing to win any of the last eight meetings between these sides. Honduras can be backed at 11/13 (188 BET) which still looks good value against an El Salvador side that has won just one of his last ten games. If you fancy El Salvador then you can back them at 15/4 (betway) while the draw which has been the result in three of their last five meetings is 5/2 (bet365/SKYBET).

The other game in that group is between Trinidad and Tobago and Haiti. Trinidad look much too short as favourites at 4/3 (188 BET) as they have not won any of their last eight. Haiti are 23/10 (bet365) for victory while the draw is a 9/4 (BETVICTOR/ladbrokes/CORAL) chance. Haiti are the top ranked team in the Caribbean and a recent 2-2 draw with Italy shows they are useful outfit. The best way to bet this game is to cover the draw in the draw no bet market where Haiti are a 6/5 (bet365/paddy Power) chance.

In Group C the USA started in dominant form beating Belize 6-1. Up next for them is Cuba who began with a 3-0 loss to Costa Rica and should present no problems. USA are 1/9 (GENERAL) for victory the draw is 7/1 (GENERAL) and a shock Cuba victory is 25/1 (SKYBET). The USA have hit Cuba for at least four goals in three of their last four meetings and they might be worth siding with in the over goals markets.

The other game in the group also looks one sided with Costa Rica taking on Belize. It might be worth siding with Micheal Barrantes in the goalscorer markets as he looked sharp in his opener with Cuba netting twice while Belize looked terrible at the back against the USA.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Honduras to beat El Salvador, 11/13 (188 BET)
SILVER: Panama to beat Martinique, 5/6 (BWIN)
BRONZE: Haiti draw no bet v Trinidad & Tobago, 6/5 (bet365/paddy Power)
