Orient express might be starting to derail

League 1

Leyton Orient sit top of League One and some might fancy the 17/10 (william hill) on them to see off the MK Dons on Saturday. A word of caution though Orient have drawn their last two games and Russell Slade and his team could be feeling the pressure a little at the top following two draws in a row.

I am looking to take on Orient with Patrick Bamford at 7/4 (SKYBET) in the anytime scorer market. The front man has netted eight goals in the league this season including four in the last three games. Orient have kept a clean sheet in just one of their last six.

If Orient were to slip up then Peterborough could go top of the table if they defeat Port Vale at Vale Park. Peterborough have won each of their last four so are in good form and at evens (GENERAL) will be popular in their accumulators. A word of caution though Vale are also playing well having lost just one of their last five.

Third placed Wolves are not in action so fourth placed Bradford can close the gap on them to just one point if they defeat Tranmere. It should be a formality for the home side as they are up against the bottom side who have lost each of their last four.. Though with Nahki Wells a possible absentee I will sit this one at odds of 8/13 a Bradford win.

A price that does appeal to me comes in the game between sixth placed Rotherham and 11th placed Swindon at the New York Stadium in Rotherham. The home side are 4/5 (SKYBET) in the draw no bet market and this looks the way to play. You can take them at 6/4 (BETVICTOR/william hill/SPREADEX) to win though I like the security of the draw also being covered. The Millers sit sixth with just one defeat from their ten league games. The Robins meanwhile have won just one of their last ten away from home in the league.

Another bet I like the look of comes in the game between Shrewsbury and Gillingham at the New Meadow. The home team Shrews needed a 90th minute goal to rescue a point against Carlisle last weekend and are now without a win in their last seven games. Gillingham though have won their last two including a 3-2 victory over MK Dons last time out. I think you should cover the draw at 31/20 (BETVICTOR) in the draw no bet market.

The live game this weekend in League One is between Coventry and Sheffield United on Sunday (16:00,SKY). These two sides are seperated by just two points though that does not tell the whole story as the Sky Blues started the season on minus ten points.

Coventry will be confident going into the game with five three wins and a draw from their five home games and they can be backed at evens (BETVICTOR/CORAL/william hill).

The Blades will take heart from the fact that Coventry have lost two of their last three league games and the fact they picked up their first point from their last seven games last time out against Crawley. A Sheffield United victory is priced at 31/10 (BETVICTOR) while the draw can be backed at 13/5 (STAN JAMES). Those looking for a bet on the live game could do worse than taking NO in the both teams to score market which would have paid out in each of the last three Coventry matches and in four of the last five Sheffield United games and is priced at 23/20 (CORAL).

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Rotherham draw no bet v Swindon, 4/5 (SKYBET)
SILVER: Gillingahm draw no bet v Shrewsbury, 31/20 (BETVICTOR)
BRONZE: Patrick Bamford to score anytime v Leyton Orient, 7/4 (SKYBET)
