Poles can keep qualifying hopes alive in Ukraine

Russia currently sit top of Group F with a one point advantage over Portugal with two games remaining. The Russians have two away games to secure their place in the next round starting this Friday away to Luxembourg and then away to Azerbaijan. These two sides sit bottom of the group so it would be a shock if Fabio Capello and his men slip up.

If they do then Portugal are waiting in the wings as they have home games with Israel and Luxembourg. Israel have slim hopes of a second placed finish if they were to beat Portugal and then Northern Ireland while Portugal would need to slip up at home to Luxembourg.

Greece then must win both games they have remaining (at home to Slovakia and Liechtenstein) and hope that Bosnia slip up in one of their two fixtures (home to Liechtenstein and away to Lithuania).
