Ian Holloway will be hoping that a win away at Bradford in their FA Cup replay can revive the Lions` faltering season. The London club sit in the Championship relegation zone and are two points from safety. His side had to twice come from behind in the reverse fixture last week, the end-to-end match-up ending a 3-3 draw. Billy Knott put their League One opposition in front with the game only six minutes young before Scott McDonald`s header put his team on terms.
Millwall`s top scorer Ricardo Fuller then put Holloway`s men ahead half-way through the second half though an own-goal from Sid Nelson and a second Knott effort meant that Fuller had to do some fire-fighting down at the other end. He eventually levelled up with just seven minutes remaining.
Brace scorers Fuller and Knott can be backed at 12/5 (32red, 888sport, unibet) and 4/1 (betfred, Totesport) respectively to get their names on the scoresheet once again. Twenty-two-year-old former Sunderland man Knott had also scored the only goal in the play-off hopefuls` previous encounter with Notts County.
Both sides have played again since their last clash, Millwall losing a goal to nil to bottom club Blackpool and the Bantams conceding a late goal to lose 2-1 to play-off rivals Rochdale. Jon Stead scored his first goal for Phil Parkinson`s men in his second spell at the club in what was Bradford`s first defeat in all competitions since the first day of November.
Despite this set back, Bradford`s home advantage and better overall form mean that they are the 7/5 (paddy Power, william hill) favourites for tonight`s 19:45 clash.
Betvictor have priced Millwall up at 23/10 to grab the victory, something to do with the fact that the boys in blue have only won twice on their travels this season. The team have also recorded six draws and six losses on the road in all competitions. A draw after 90 minutes can be picked up at 5/2 (bet365, Betvictor, boylesports) with a number of bookmakers.
The last time the two clubs met in the FA Cup was back in the 2006/07 season when a goalless draw in Yorkshire saw the tie replayed at The Den. Millwall got the better of their opponents but needed extra-time to slot home the only goal of the match. With both teams in League One, the sides met twice more that campaign, Millwall putting two past the Bantams without reply at home before May`s return fixture ended 2-2.
With a history of high scoring encounters, 1/3 (betfred, ladbrokes, Skybet) says that over 1.5 goals will be scored tonight whilst Betvictor`s 39/40 says that over 2.5 goals won`t be bagged. Fancy both teams to hit the back of the net? That`s 3/4 with Betvictor, betway and ladbrokes.
Parkinson`s players have scored at least one goal in every match since the middle of October and the manager will be buoyed by the return of experienced striker Billy Clarke. The 27-year-old former Ipswich man has scored four goals in 18 games for the Yorkshire club, most recently grabbing the winner against Chesterfield in the side`s 1-0 away win in December, and may start tonight after recovering from a knee injury.
The Irishman is priced at 6/1 with Stan James to grab a goal on his reappearance.
Also set to grace Valley Parade is defender Andrew Davies who had missed the previous clash with a hamstring strain.
Millwall will have to overcome the odds without a litany of new signings, all of whom are cup-tied for tonight`s game. Wycombe signing Paris Cowan-Hall is unavailable for this reason as are Shaun Cummings, Dan Harding and Stefan Maierhofer.
