Manchester United will hope to qualify for the quarter-final of the FA Cup tomorrow evening by seeing off League One side Preston North End. United, who currently sit in third place in the Premier League, will visit Preston`s Deepdale stadium for their match-up at 19:45. North End are hot contenders for promotion from the third tier of English football, occupying fourth position and being just four points behind second placed Swindon Town with a game in hand.

In spite of their wholly positive league form, the hosts are the outsiders for the clash with the Manchester side available for backing at 1/2 with most reputable bookmakers. Preston, their North West neighbours, can be picked up at 13/2 (bet365, betfair, betfred, boylesports, totesports) whilst a draw is currently being touted at 7/2, again with numerous turf accountants. Such a tie would mean that the fixture would be replayed at Old Trafford before the quarter-final stage to decide who should progress.

Unlike Louis van Gaal`s United who received a bye into the competition`s third round on accounts of their Premier League status, the Lilywhites began their FA Cup campaign in the first stage of the tournament. In this round they met Havant & Waterlooville away from home, Preston easily dispatching the Hampshire side by scoring three times without reply. All three goals came thanks to striker Callum Robinson. The second round threw up a trickier tie for Simon Grayson`s men in the shape of League Two promotion hunters Shrewsbury Town. A first half strike from Preston`s Paul Huntington at home was all that was needed to see his side progress.

Top half Championship club Norwich awaited for the Lancashire side in the third round, Paul Gallagher grabbing both goals in the 2-0 win. Finally, the whites needed a replay to see off fellow League One stalwarts Sheffield United, Gallagher scooping his third goal of the competition in the 1-1 Deepdale draw.

At Bramhall Lane, the home of the Blades, Grayson led his side to a 3-1 victory, coming from 1-0 down following the first half to see his men book their clash with Manchester United. Gallagher scored yet another brace in this encounter with the other goal being provided by Shrewsbury scorer Huntington.

The club`s leading FA Cup goalscorer for the season, Gallagher is 5/1 with Spreadex to hit the back of the net at any time. The 30-year-old loanee from Leicester is also 50/1 (paddy Power) to grab yet another brace in the tournament, his third of the campaign.

Van Gaal`s United faced off against another League One side in the struggling Yeovil Town in their opening game of the FA Cup. Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria both grabbed a goal in the second half to steal the 2-0 result.

A goalless draw was played out at Cambridge`s Abbey Stadium to force a fourth round replay for Manchester United and the League Two side at Old Trafford. In the 3-0 Red Devils win, both Juan Mata and Marcos Rojo hit the back of the net in the first half whilst James Wilson closed the scoring in the second 45.

Manchester United are yet to concede in the FA Cup this season and a win to nil for the Reds can be backed at 6/4 with Bwin. A predicting a score of 0-0 will see you receive odds of 13/1 with 32red, 888sport and unibet.

In light of Preston`s free-scoring ways, as well as their high scoring FA Cup performances they have also scored in all of their last four games in the league, betfair`s 19/20 says both teams will score tomorrow night.
