Championship

Neither Fulham nor Rotherham are completely safe from relegation from the second tier of English football and it will be this fact that will make tonight`s match between the two clubs so compelling. Tonight`s hosts Fulham are looking to avoid back-to-back drops following their relegation from the Premier League last season. They sit in 20th position and are just six points clear of Millwall who occupy the last relegation place. A victory tonight would see them all but safe with a nine point bumper and a superior goal difference, they also being able to usurp both Brighton and Reading. A defeat would see them need to get a result from their remaining three Championship games.

Rotherham are on the precipice of the relegation zone, sitting in the last safe spot and with a potential points deduction. The Millers are a mere four points above Millwall following the London club`s victory over fellow relegation contenders Wigan yesterday. A victory over the Cottagers would see them supersede their opponents whilst also sticking seven points between themselves and Millwall. Failure to do so would keep them in their precarious position.

The last time the two clubs met was back in October in the reverse Championship fixture at Rotherham`s New York Stadium. In what was a tense end-to-end affair, the match ended with each side scoring three goals. Alex Revell grabbed the deadlock breaker for the hosts just prior to the half an hour mark before Ross McCormack converted a penalty for Kit Symons` visitors to see the sides enter the changing rooms level.

Jonson Clarke-Harris restored Rotherham`s lead just 10 minutes into the second 45 but again Fulham offered an immediate reply, this time through Corey Woodrow. The match was balanced at 2-2 well into the final 10 minutes though Nikolay Bodurov`s own-goal saw the Millers in front for the third time. With the game in the dying minutes, captain Dan Burn managed to restore parity for Fulham and see them secure a vital point.

Ladbrokes have the best price of 66/1 on this match ending three-all for the second time this season. Both Betvictor and betway have 5/1 on the match being tied at the end of the first and second halves. Whilst Dan Burn is a 28/1 shout with all of bet365, Betvictor and Stan James to be the last goalscorer, 12/5 is Skybet`s price on Corey Woodrow hitting the back of the net at any time.

Indeed it is Fulham who are the favourites to secure all three points in this relegation dogfight. bet365 and a number of other bookmakers have installed the Cottagers as the 6/5 favourites to claim an all-important home victory here. Otherwise 5/2 (Numerous) is the best price on an away win for Steve Evans` visitors whilst a draw can be backed at 13/5, again with bet365 and a number of other bookies.

Fulham`s favouritism will be down to the club`s recent upturn in results, having claimed a win and back-to-back draws in their last five matches. The London side have also scored in all of their last four with McCormack scoring three of these six goals. He can be picked up at 6/1 at Stan James to be the first goalscorer of the clash.

Rotherham have just three points to show for their last six encounters, though this success did come on the road against fellow strugglers Brighton. They are also a club that have struggled for goals recently have scored the equivalent of just under one a game. Whilst ladbrokes` 3/4 says that both teams will get themselves on the scoresheet tonight, Coral`s 16/5 says that Fulham will secure a win to nil.
