Euro 2016 qualifying Group B leaders Wales travel to Belgium on Sunday for a crucial match that could go some way to deciding the fate of both teams in this group.
Wales have started this qualifying campaign well, much better than previous qualifying attempts in recent years and will face Belgium with the sort of confidence they would not have had 18 months ago. The Welsh currently sit top of the group on 7 points from three games played. A 0-0 draw at home to 2014 world cup finalists Bosnia and Herzegovina was sandwiched between a 2-1 away win in Andorra and a 2-1 home win over Cyprus. This will undoubtedly be Wales` toughest test to date in this group and will probably prove to be their most difficult match of the whole qualifying campaign, something which is reflected in their odds of 12/1 with stanjames to come away from Belgium with a win.
If Wales are to cause Belgium problems and take something from the game then there is one man who is key to their success and that is Gareth Bale. Without any question, Bale is the best player in the Welsh team and has made a timely return to fitness for this match. The Real Madrid man is deadly from free-kick situations, as shown by his goal away to Andorra and has the ability to create something from almost nothing. With 2 goals already to his name in the group, Bale is available at 12/5 with SkyBet to score at any time and 10/1 with bet365 to get the first goal and give Wales a shock lead. Wales will be pleased to be able to welcome back in to the team both Joe Allen and Aaron Ramsey, the latter of which will be asked to get forward whenever he can to support the Welsh attack. The Arsenal midfielder`s presence could be vital to Wales taking something out of this match and Ramsey is on offer at 7/1 with bet365 to score at any time.
Belgium currently sit third in Group B having played two matches, one less than Wales and have 4 points to their name. A comfortable home win against the group`s lowest ranked nation Andorra was followed by a tough 1-1 draw away to Bosnia Herzegovina. Come the end of the group, that point could be an important one as other teams are sure to find the trip to Bosnia difficult and Belgium will be going in to this match with the confidence they can defeat Wales, something which is reflected in their odds of 3/10 with SkyBet to win the game. Having missed the match against Andorra, Eden Hazard will want to take the opportunity to stamp his authority on this match and is available at 5/1 with paddypower to get the first goal of the game. The other major threat to the Welsh goal could come from another Belgian midfield player in Kevin De Bruyne. Playing for Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga, De Bruyne is enjoying a good season and already has 2 goals to his name in this qualifying group and is on offer at 17/10 with BetVictor to score at any time.
Belgium have only suffered one defeat in their last 13 matches and this came at the world cup finals to Argentina. During this period of games, the defeat to Argentina was the only time that Belgium have failed to score. Wales have managed to score at least one goal in 6 of their last 8 matches and in their last 10 meetings, there has been a total of 32 goals scored between the two teams ,averaging at 3.2 goals per game. bet365 offer 4/5 for their to be over 2.5 goals in this game and 12/4 for the favourites, Belgium, to win the match with both teams scoring.
