Both Queens Park Rangers and Manchester United will have to try to bounce back from disappointing defeats to rivals last weekend as the two sides meet at Loftus Road on Saturday. Harry Redknapp`s Londoners suffered a 2-1 loss away at Burnley whilst Manchester United were superseded by Southampton to whom they lost 1-0 on Sunday.

Rangers found themselves behind in the 12th minute after Scott Arfield`s excellent solo effort saw him open the scoring for the Clarets. The away side equalised 25 minutes later, ex-Burnley star and December player of the month Charlie Austin converting a penalty, before Danny Ings grabbed the winner with a full half left to play.

It was end-to-end stuff at Old Trafford as Louis van Gaal`s men took on the Hampshire surprise packages and the game remained goalless until Dusan Tadic pounced on James Ward-Prowse`s ricocheted effort with 20 minutes left to play.

United may also face a tough task tomorrow, as Redknapp`s side have only lost twice at home all season. The first of these games came on the first day of the campaign, Hull snatching a slight 1-0 victory. The side were also left with nothing as Liverpool paid them a visit. A late Eduardo Vargas goal and a Steven Gerrard own-goal couldn`t help QPR grab a result as they fell to a 3-2 defeat.

Betway are offering 6/4 on the game being settled by a one goal margin again though the last time these two sides` met the clash finished 4-0 to the Red Devils. Goals from Angel Di Maria, Ander Herrera, Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata helped United earn their first win of the season back in September.

Perhaps as a result of this, the fourth placed Manchester club are the 4/6 (ladbrokes, william hill) favourites to put QPR to the sword again tomorrow. The vast majority of bookmakers aren`t giving Rangers a hope at 5/1 despite their impressive home record whilst a draw can be backed at 16/5 with bet365, Betvictor and boylesports.

This strong favouritism must also have something to do with the fact that United have improved on the road recently. It took six games for the 20-time league champions to grasp their first win on their travels but are now five games into a streak of away results without a defeat.

Rooney added to a Kieran Gibbs own-goal to kick-start this run with a 2-1 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates. This was followed by an early December win over Southampton, Robin van Persie scoring twice in the 2-1 result, and a trio of ties with Aston Villa (1-1), Tottenham Hotspur (0-0) and Stoke City (1-1).

With two goals apiece, both Rooney and Radamel Falcao are the club`s leading scorers from these games. Both can be backed at 9/2 to break the deadlock against Redknapp`s side tomorrow (Rooney: Numerous, Falcao: Coral, Spreadex). The Reds are, however, likely to be without Dutch star van Persie who is yet to recover from a ankle injury picked up against the Saints last time out.

In QPR team news, the Hoops will once again have Niko Kranjcar back fit and ready for selection following his sidelining with a thigh strain. The 19th placed club will, however, be missing fellow midfielders Sandro (knee), along with left-backs Armand Traore (toe) and Yun Suk-Young (ankle). On-loan from West Ham, winger Mauro Zarate will be hoping to make his first start for his new club. The 27-year-old Argentinean came off the bench against Burnley but failed to grab the all-important equaliser for his new side.

He is 5/1 (betfred, Totesport) to atone by netting at any time against United tomorrow.
