Blackpool are the early pace-setters in the Championship and they will resume after the international break in a tasty looking battle between the Cherries and the Tangerines.
A visit to Dean Court is not easy especially as Bournemouth have won six and drawn one of their last seven home games (excluding friendlies). The bookmakers have Bournemouth at 6/4 (william hill), the draw at 12/5 (GENERAL) while a Blackpool victory is 11/5 (BETVICTOR/CORAL).
QPR can go top if Blackpool slip up and they have a comfortable looking home game with Birmingham though odds of 6/10 (william hill) do not appeal.
The best bet in the division is backing Yeovil to get something from their game with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough. These two sides are both on three points and even allowing for home advantage the price on the Glovers is too big. You can get Yeovil to win the game at 4/1 (BETVICTOR) though I would like to keep the draw on side as such I will play on the Asian Handicap where with a 0.5 start they can be backed at 19/17 (188 BET). Although Yeovil are set for a season of struggle so too are the Owls.
League One leaders Leyton Orient are a side I have been keen on for weeks though odds of 5/6 (BETVICTOR/CORAL) are plenty short against a Port Vale side who have Tom Pope in great scoring form.
Wolves will be on hand to take advantage of any Orient slip-ups and they should comfortably see off Swindon at 19/20 (BETVICTOR/william hill). I can not believe the price considering the Black Country side have won their last four games in the division and at home have netted six and conceded just once. The visitors Swindon did pick up a point at MK Dons last time out but that was just the second time in their last eight away games in the league that they avoided defeat. The Robins are a solid side but they are not in the same class as Wolves.
Chesterfield are flying in League Two at the moment yet I am willing to take them on with AFC Wimbledon on Saturday. The Spireites have won five and drawn one of their six games this season and are as short as 4/5 (bet365) to win this weekend. Their opponents though are no mugs and are just three points behind in third having won each of their last three with one of these wins coming at highly-fancied Fleetwood. I think then they look over-priced at 4/1 (GENERAL) to win this game. It makes sense to get the draw on your side so take the visitors with a 0.5 start on the Asian Handicap which you can get at 15/13 (BETVICTOR) and it will pay out on a AFC Wimbledon victory or on the draw. Staying with this game and Michael Smith has more shots on target than any player this season and has four in his last four games and looks over-priced at 3/1 (SKYBET) in the anytime scorer market.
BEST OF THE BETS
GOLD: Wolves to beat Swindon, 19/20 (BETVICTOR/william hill)
SILVER: AFC Wimbledon +0.5 on Asian Handicap, 15/13 (BETVICTOR)
BRONZE: Yeovil +0.5 on Asian Handicap, 19/17 (188 BET)
