Premier League preview and odds: Burnley vs Liverpool
August 20 , 2016 15:00pm - Turf Moor
Premier League
Burnley will play their second Premier League home game in a row on Saturday afternoon, when they welcome a Liverpool side with former Claret Danny Ings in their ranks to Turf Moor.
Reds looking for second straight away day success
With work still continuing on their new stand at Anfield, Liverpool will play the second of three straight Premier League away games this weekend when they make the short trip to Burnley to take on Sean Dyche`s men.
The Reds were involved in the most entertaining game of the opening weekend when they ran out 4-3 winner against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium last Sunday. Jurgen Klopp`s men went a goal behind before steaming into to 4-1 lead with some fantastic flowing football. However, they were unable to build on that lead and were left hanging on when Arsenal reduced to deficit to a single goal.
The Merseyside team once again showed some defensive frailties in that game and will be hoping to improve in that area as the season goes on. Nonetheless, their impressive offensive play will no doubt have caused a few raised eyebrows amongst rival fans.
Meanwhile, Burnley fell by a single goal in the opening home game against Swansea and will need to up their game if they are to see off the threat of Klopp`s men. The home side looked sharp enough for the most part but were unable to create too many chances against a side that used all their Premier League experience to grind out a goal.
Burnley lost a lot of narrow games when they were relegated two years ago and have started this season in similar fashion. They will no doubt try to keep things tight again against Liverpool but it is hard to see them shutting out the Reds` rampant attacking unit for the full 90 minutes.
Team news
Burnley will have the luxury of a full strength squad to choose from for their second home game of the season.
Meanwhile, the Visitors are still without the injured quartet of Sheyi Ojo, Loris Karius, Joe Gomez and Mamadou Sakho.

Betting odds and tips
Liverpool were devastating in attack during their friendly against Barcelona and in their opening game against Arsenal. It could be a difficult day for the hosts.
