Whilst the title seems to be slipping out of Manchester City`s hands, they will be looking to claim a win at home to West Ham tomorrow to seal a top four finish and improve on their current position. The reigning Premier League champions sit in fourth position and are four points off archrivals Manchester United in third, prior to the Red Devils` game against Chelsea today. The Sky Blues could end tomorrow just a mere point off United should they beat West Ham and United lose to the league leaders. A loss for Chelsea but a win for the fourth placed side would see them nine points off the title pace.

Failure to beat the Hammers at home tomorrow would allow both Liverpool and Southampton to close up the gap on the Champions League places. Should results not go their way, City could just be a mere point from falling out of the top four.

Things are less drastic for West Ham who have staved off relegation in good style but are not expected to challenge for a place in the first seven. Sam Allardyce`s ninth placed side could close the gap on eighth placed Swansea to a point with a win tomorrow. Swansea would have had to have lost to bottom club Leicester however. Losing to the Manchester club could see the Iron slide to as low as 11th.

These two sides have met once already this season, this being in the reverse Premier League fixture at West Ham`s Boleyn Ground. In what was considered to be a shock result, West Ham ran out the 2-1 winners at home.

Only one goal was scored in the first 45 minutes, that goal coming from Hammers` midfielder Morgan Amalfitano. Diafra Sakho doubled Allardyce`s side`s lead with just 15 minutes of the match remaining and whilst David Silva grabbed a goal back just under two minutes later, it wasn`t enough to avoid an upset for City.

Coral have the best price of 40/1 on another two goals to one victory for tomorrow`s visitors with the same price (bet365) on Amalfitano providing the deadlock breaker. Whilst both betfair and Coral have evens on both teams scoring, Betbright`s 31/10 says that exactly three goals will be scored between the two sides.

Despite their inability to get the better of the Iron on their travels, Manuel Pellegrini`s hosts are the favourites to get their revenge over the East End side. Most bookmakers are offering the best price of 2/7 on a City win.

Elsewhere, a trio of bookies (betfair, boylesports, Spreadex) have 12/1 on West Ham doing the double over the Sky Blues tomorrow with a draw available at 11/2 (Numerous).

Manchester City have failed to win either of their last two games, falling to a 2-1 win away at Crystal Palace before losing the Manchester Derby by four goals to two. Both of these encounters took place on City`s travels and their Premier League home form is much better having only lost one of their last five at the Etihad Stadium, scooping 10 points.

All of City`s last three Premier League wins at home came through a number of goals to nil. sportingbet have 11/10 on another win to nil for Pellegrini`s club.

West Ham have also failed to claim a victory in either of their last two games and, to make matters worse, have not won on their travels since the beginning of December 2014. The Iron have managed to score three times in their last five on the road, two of these goals came from Cheikhou Kouyate. paddy Power`s 20/1 says he can score at any time tomorrow.
