La Liga preview and odds: Sevilla vs Real Betis
Sep 20, 2016 22:00pm - Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán
La Liga
Sevilla will look to extend their unbeaten run in La Liga to five games when they host city rivals Real Betis at Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Tuesday night.
Rivals square up in Derby showdown
Despite having a new coach at the helm, last season`s Europa League champions Sevilla have had a bright start to the new La Liga campaign, remaining unbeaten in their first four fixtures.
The Andalusian club began their season with an incredible 6-4 win over Espanyol before drawing 0-0 at Villarreal. They followed that up with a 2-1 home win against Las Palmas before drawing again at Eibar (1-1). They will now go in search of a third-straight home win when Real Betis cross the river for the eagerly-anticipated derby clash on Tuesday night.
Unai Emery was always going to be a hard to act follow but new Coach Jorge Sampaoli has already endeared himself to the Sevilla faithful with his words off the field on his football on it. While he has yet to break their winless streak away from home, he has at least avoided defeat and has the club well-positioned in fifth place. A win in the local derby would raise his stock even higher amongst the fan base.
Real Betis also have a new man in the hot seat, with Gus Poyet having been recruited as a replacement for Juan Merino back in May. The Uruguayan`s first game in charge could not have been tougher as his grean and white charges were drawn to face reigning league champions Barcelona away from home.
While Los Beticos lost the game at the Camp Nou 6-2, they have since remained unbeaten, having drawn at home to Deportivo La Coruna and Granada either side of a 2-3 win at Valencia. They will now look to secure their first league win away to Sevilla in four years.
Team news
Both sides have injury issues with Benoit Trémoulinas, David Soria and Michael Krohn-Dehli all out of action for the home side, while the visitors will be without the crocked pair of Álex Martínez and Jonas Martin.

Betting odds and tips
The Sevilla derby always serves up a fantastic atmosphere and this week should be no exception. Both teams are in positive mood and have had no trouble finding the net in their opening games. Sevilla have already netted 10 times, while Betis have managed seven, so there could be few goals on Tuesday night.
