Jimmy Glass is a name that Football fans will never forget after he netted an injury time goal that kept the Carlisle up a number of seasons ago. What made this remarkable was Jimmy Glass was a goalkeeper. Who will be the hero this weekend? Here is our guide to the best of the bets from the final day of action in League Two.

Gillingham are already confirmed as divisional champions and end the season away to a Burton side who would need a big goal swing of eight and defeats to Rotherham and Cheltenham to secure the third automatic promotion slot. This looks a game to avoid from a betting point of view. Port Vale meanwhile can confirm second if they win at Wycombe though I am not sure this enough of a motivating factor for me to side with them. The home side are safe in the middle of the table and as such this looks another game to avoid from a betting point of view. Third placed Rotherham take on bottom of the table Aldershot in a must win game for both sides though for differing reasons. Bookmakers have Rotherham as the 4/9 (paddypower) favourites to win the game while the draw is 4/1 (GENERAL) and the Aldershot shock victory is 8/1 (BETVICTOR/SPREADEX). If Rotherham were to slip up here then Cheltenham could take advantage and they have to be backed to take all three points against Bradford. The Robins are available at 23/20 (BETVICTOR ) for the victory and with the Bantams safe in the play-offs I expect them to rest a number of players.

Some seven sides are battling to avoid filling the two relegation places that would see them drop out of the Football League. The situation looks bleak for Aldershot who are are three points from safety with an inferior goal difference and a tough looking final game of the season away to Rotherham. Second bottom are AFC Wimbledon who are 4/5 (GENERAL) to win their last game of the season against a Fleetwood side who have lost each of their last three. This looks entirely possible though I would not be rushing to back them at that price. Barnet are third bottom and they are away to Northampton in a game that matters little to Northampton and a great deal to Barnet and as such I will take a chance on Barnet to get the result. The Bees are 2/1(BETVICTOR) for victory over Northampton and with the Cobblers set for the play-offs I expect them to rest a number of players. The battle between Dagenham and Redbridge and York could decide who goes down and it is York who will enter the game in better heart following three wins and two draws from their last five. Dagenham meanwhile have lost three of their last four including each of their last two. Torquay are evens (GENERAL) to see off Bristol Rovers in the final game and after winning their last two they look value to gain the three points that they need to secure their safety. Rovers have done well to get themselves out of trouble but are safe so take the Gulls to come out on top here. Plymouth have a tricky looking away game to a Rochdale side who have lost just one of their last eight at home and as such this is another game to swerve from a betting point of view.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Cheltenham to beat Bradford, 23/20 (BETVICTOR)
SILVER: Torquay to beat Bristol Rovers, Evens (GENERAL)
BRONZE: Barnet to beat Northampton, 2/1 (BETVICTOR)
