Here is our second part guide to the best of the best from the Premier League action this Saturday.
Wigan are masters of the great escape and if they want to do the same again then they must start by taking three points here against West Brom. The Latics are 11/5 (STAN JAMES) for victory while the draw is 12/5 (GENERAL) and West Brom 29/20 (BETVICTOR). The Baggies will be confident after they eased past Southampton 3-0 last weekend. I think the bets here could come in the goals markets as Wigan will be gunning for all three points. Take West Brom to score over 1.5 goals at 10/9 (32 RED) while Wigan to score over 1.5 goals look a bet as well at 13/8 (STAN JAMES). Those looking for a goalscorer bet might be interested in Romelu Lukaku who was unplayable last week is 6/4 (888 SPORT) to score anytime while for Wigan Arouna Kone is 12/5 (SKYBET/STAN JAMES) to score anytime.
West Ham are comfortable in mid-table and as such people might think Newcastle can go there and get all three points as this game means more to them. A big word of caution though Sam Allardyce was once manager of the Magpies and he will never forget the way he was treat by both the board and the fans. I think Allardyce will have his Hammers fired up for this game and it is not just Allardyce who has a history with the North East side as former players Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan are also going to attach an importance to this game. The recent form of Newcastle has been terrible and readers of this hopefully got on a few weeks ago at around 25/1 for relegation. Now the Magpies are as short as 7/1 (CORAL/SPREADEX). Take the 11/8 (boylesports/BET VICTOR/william hill) on the London side to add more misery to Alan Pardew and the Magpies.
The evening game in the Premier League is the one that pits relegated QPR up against Champions League chasing Arsenal. The Gunners are naturally strong favourites at 4/9 (GENERAL) though a word of caution Arsenal have never won a Premier League game at Loftus Road and it would just be typical of QPR to have one last performance in them. That said I would not be rushing to back them at 77/10 (YOU WIN) or the draw at 4/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred) especially as the Hoops have gone 275 minutes without scoring in the Premier League. Speaking of goalscorer the anytime goalscorer market sees Theo Walcott as a 27/20 (YOU WIN) chance to score anytime while Lukas Podolski is 7/5 (888 SPORT). I like the look of Tomas Rosicky in the anytime scorer market as the Czech forward played just behind the forward against Man United and had a couple of decent chances. Rosicky showed against West Brom a few weeks ago he has an eye for the goal and at 71/20 (YOU WIN) he looks value especially with Rob Green always vulnerable to shots from a distance. Goals in general will be hard to come by and under 2.5 goals looks value at 11/8 (BETVICTOR) this would have paid in each of the last four QPR games and in three of the last four Arsenal away games.
BEST OF THE BETS
GOLD: West Ham to beat Newcastle, 11/8 (boylesports/BET VICTOR/william hill)
SILVER: Tomas Rosicky to score anytime v QPR, 71/20 (YOU WIN)
BRONZE: Under 2.5 goals between QPR and Arsenal, 11/8 (BETVICTOR)
