Wigan are now 11/10 (CORAL) for relegation following a 3-2 victory over West Brom on Saturday that might once again signal the start of another great escape. The Latics know that three points against Swansea on Tuesday would see them move out of the bottom three on goal difference. Bookmakers have Norwich as the 7/2 (BOYLESPORT/betway) for the drop after a heartbreaking defeat at home to Aston Villa. The result sees Norwich just three ahead of Wigan and having played a game more. With Man City away on the last day of the season the Canaries know they must beat West Brom in their next game. Newcastle are the side currently fifth from bottom and they are 5/1 (GENERAL) for the drop. The Magpies have to play QPR away followed by a tricky looking encounter with Arsenal on the last day of the season. It is Sunderland who are fourth from bottom and the Black Cats are 8/1 (GENERAL) and we will talk more about their game with Stoke later in the feature. Southampton are still on 39 points, just one above Norwich yet find themselves at 35/1 (188 BET) for relegation. The Saints still have to face Sunderland and Stoke and I think they could be value for the drop. In addition consider siding with Fulham at 50/1 (general). The London side are on 40 points though have lost each of their last four. A home game with Liverpool followed by an away game with Swansea is not an easy end to the season.

The game Monday night sees Sunderland take on Stoke in a crucial relegation battle. The Black Cats are 23/20 (BETVICTOR/william hill) for all three points as they look to continue a run against Stoke that has seen them win three and lose none of their last four against them at the Stadium of Light. Stoke will take heart from the dreadful showing of Sunderland at Villa Park where they were hit for six. The Potters meanwhile have won each of their last two to ease their relegation worries though they will know that they are not safe yet. In terms of the match markets I have to think Stoke are a little bit of value at 3/1 (GENERAL) with the draw also an option at 12/5 (STAN JAMES). The best bet for me is in going against goals in this game. Sunderland are without key player Stephane Sessegnon while Steven Fletcher is out for the season. Stoke are not exactly blessed with goals either and have netted just six times in their last 13 away games. The previous meetings between the sides this season was not exactly a thriller either as it ended 0-0 with the Black Cats failing to register a single shot on target. Take the under 1.5 goals which is available at 2/1 again with STAN JAMES/ladbrokes. Those looking for a first scorer bet on this game can get Danny Graham at 689/100 (YOU WIN) while Adam Johnson could be value at 12/1 (BETVICTOR) as he may be handed a free role behind the striker. Those looking for a Stoke player to score the first goal can get Peter Crouch at 8/1 (GENERAL) while Cameron Jerome looked lively against Norwich and is value at 12/1 (SKYBET/BWIN). No goalscorer will be popular at 15/2 (GENERAL).

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Under 1.5 goals between Stoke and Sunderland, 2/1 (STAN JAMES/ladbrokes)
SILVER: Southampton to be relegated from the Premier League at 35/1 (188 BET)
BRONZE: Fulham to relegated from the Premier League at 50/1 (GENERAL)
