La Liga preview and odds: Real Madrid vs Villarreal
Sep 21, 2016 20:00pm - Estadio Santiago Bernabéu
La Liga
Real Madrid will look to maintain their 100% points tally when they welcome unbeaten Villarreal to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu on Wednesday night.
Perfect start for Zidane`s men
Having won just one league title in the last eight years, Real Madrid`s main objective this term will be to wrestle the championship away from arch rivals Barcelona. Zinedine Zidane has already guided the club to victory in the UEFA Champions League and will now look to further enhance his status by delivering a long overdue domestic crown.
Los Blancos have title started their quest in the perfect manner, having won all four of their opening fixtures to give themselves an early three-point advantage over their rivals from Catalonia. With 12 goals scored and just three conceded, the team from the capital have the joint-best goal difference in the league and will be strong favourites to bag another win on Wednesday against a team that has never beaten them in their own backyard.
Meanwhile, Villarreal have also had a decent start to the season, having drawn two and won two of their opening four fixtures. The Yellow Submarine have only conceded two goals so far and will look to frustrate their opponents once again on Wednesday night. While they have yet to record a win at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, they did beat their opponents 1-0 at El Madrigal last season and drew 1-1 in the capital the year before.
Team news
The home side will be without the injured duo of Keylor Navas and Fábio Coentrão.
Meanwhile, the visitors will have to make do without Cedric Bakambu and Roberto Soldado.

Betting odds and tips
Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale should be back after missing the clash with Espanyol on Sunday and that will be great news for any neutrals tuning in to watch this game. The team from Madrid are aiming to secure their 17th La Liga victory in a row and the presence of their two record signings should help their cause.
Over 2.5 Goals has paid out in 17 out of Real Madrid`s last 18 home games and that bet looks like the best option for this fixture.
