Premier League preview and odds: Leicester City vs Crystal Palace

October 22, 2016 15:00pm - King Power Stadium

Premier League

Reigning champions Leicester City will look to extend their unbeaten Premier League home record to 20 games on Saturday when they host ninth-ranked Crystal Palace at the King Power Stadium.

Stuttering start but home record still intact for Leicester City

Last season`s fairy-tale performance was always going to be a hard act to follow for Leicester City but while they have stumbled out of the blocks in the league, they have surprisingly excelled in the Europe, winning all three of their Champions League games without conceding a goal.

The Foxes have won just won of their last four matches at domestic level but their remarkable home record remains intact, with their last defeat coming against Arsenal more than a year ago. This season, they have won two and drawn two of their home encounters and even took a point off Arsenal, something they failed to do last term.

The main problems for Claudio Ranieri`s men have come on the road, where they have lost all four of their league matches, conceding 13 goals in the process. Last weekend, the East Midlands side fell 3-0 away to Chelsea before bouncing back with a 1-0 Champions League win at home to Copenhagen in midweek.

Meanwhile, visitors Crystal Palace will seek to retain their top 10 status by taking at least a point back to London on Saturday evening. Alan Pardew`s men are winless in two but have lost just one of their last six Premier League matches. Last time out, they suffered their first defeat in five matches when they fell 1-0 at home to West Ham United.

Team news

Nampalys Mendy and Matthew James are both still missing for the home side.

Meanwhile, Palace will be without Jonathan Benteke, Scott Dann, Pape Souare and Loic Remy.

Stoke City: WDDLL

Betting odds and tips

Leicester City have earned all of their points at home this season and are protecting a formidable 19-game unbeaten streak at the King Power Stadium. In addition, they have conceded just one goal on home soil this term.

The Eagles have conceded at least one goal in all of their Premier league matches this term. However, they are unbeaten in their last three away games (WWD).

Palace`s three-game unbeaten run away from home could come to an end this weekend against the team with the best home form in the league over the last 12 months.
