Man United booked their place in the last 16 of the on matchday five when seeing off Bayer Leverkusen 5-0. The battle for second then comes to down to Donetsk (eight points) and Leverkusen (seven points). It is the German side who hold the head-to-head record advantage and they will qualify if they better the result of Shakhtar when facing Sociedad in Spain.

Those looking for a bet on the United game, which is live on ITV (19:45), could do worse than taking on the Red Devils as this game means more to the visitors. Throw in recent home defeats to Everton and Newcastle and it is clear that all is not well with Man Utd. The previous meeting between these sides ended in a draw and I think Donetsk look worth taking at 17/10 (888 SPORT/unibet) in the draw no bet market.

Group B has Real Madrid top of the table and the Spanish side are just 9/20 (sportingbet/betway) to win in Denmark against a FC Copenhagen side who can not qualify for the next round.

It comes down then to a straight battle between Juventus and galatasaray who meet in Turkey on Tuesday night. The Italian side are two points clear so know that they simply have to avoid defeat to qualify. They can be backed at 21/20 (CORAL) for the victory while the draw is available at 13/5 (bet365/ladbrokes/william hill). It finished 2-2 when these sides met in the reverse fixture and both teams to score in this game is just 8/13 (GENERAL). Didier Drogba is usually the man for big occasions having been involved in four (scoring twice, assisting twice) of the last six goals the Turkish side have scored in the Champions League. I like the odds of 9/4 (STAN JAMES) on him to score at anytime in this game.

PSG are through as group winners in Group C with the battle for the second spot coming down to Olympiakos and Benfica. Both sides are level on seven points though it is the Greek side who hold the head-to-head record so the side from Portugal must better their result on the final matchday.

Benfica are at home to PSG and they are 21/20 (ladbrokes/betway) for the victory as they look to make it four wins from their last five games in all comeptitions. Those who think PSG will have too much class can back them at 37/13 (888 SPORT/unibet) while the draw is on offer at 13/5 (bet365).

Olympiakos are 4/11 (GENERAL) to see off Anderlecht and the Greek side have won five of their last seven Champions League home games, though they are missing key man Kostas Mitroglou. The Belgians meanwhile have won just one of their last 17 matches in this competition and are 9/1 (sportingbet) the shock win.

Bayern Munich and Man City have both qualifed for the last 16 from Group D and the English side must beat the Germans by two clear goals to secure the top spot when these sides meet. Bayern though are in incredible form and is hard to take Man City to win this one even at odds of 6/1 (SPORTINGBET/BWIN) while those who fancy the Germans can back them at 1/2 (GENERAL) and the draw is a 15/4 (bet365) chance. Both teams are blessed with talented goalscorers so take the 6/5 (bet365) that the game has over three goals.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Shakhtar Donetsk to beat Man Utd, draw no bet, 17/10 (888 SPORT/unibet)
SILVER: Didier Drogba to score anytime v Juventus, 9/4 (STAN JAMES)
BRONZE: Over 3 goals in Bayern v Man City, 6/5 (BET365)
