Everybody in Group A and Group B all have one points after the opening games ended drawn. Can any of the sides register a victory in their second attempt? Here is our guide to the best of the bets from these fixtures?

The early game Saturday (July 13th) is between Italy and Denmark. Both sides started their campaign with an opening draw, Italy finished 0-0 with Finland while the Danes drew 1-1 with hosts Sweden.

The Danes are the 11/10 (ladbrokes) favourites for the game as they have won eight of the 15 meetings between the sides, (Italy have won three and four ended drawn). The draw was the result the last time these sides met (Sao Paulo Dec 2011) and those who think we could be in for another tie can get 3/1 (SPREADEX). Italy can take heart from the fact they are unbeaten in the last two competitive meetings between the sides and an Italy victory is priced at 14/5 (BETVICTOR/SPREADEX/betway).

The bet in this game could be in siding with Patrizia Panico in the goalscorer markets which at the time of writing had not been priced up. The 38-year-old has netted three times in her two previous appearances against the Danes .

The evening game in Group A is between Finland and Sweden and the Finns will need to defy history to get a victory here. In 31 previous games against Finland Sweden have yet to lose and can be backed for victory here at 2/9 (GENERAL). Those who think Finland can spring the shock can get 16/1 (BETVICTOR) while the draw is 11/2 (BETVICTOR/SPREADEX).

This looks a tough game to find a bet on as Sweden are clearly the strongest side though Finland will look to make things as tough as possible. Those looking for a bet might again want to look to the goalscorer markets where Lotta Schelin could do the business.

Sunday (July 14th) sees Group B take centre stage and the early game is the one between Norway and the Netherlands. These sides both drew their opener with Norway drawing 1-1 with Iceland while the Dutch finished level with the highly-fancied Germany 0-0. Bookmakers are struggling to split the pair with the Netherlands 8/5 (BWIN) for victory. Norway are 7/4 (betway) and the draw is 23/10 (TOTESPORT/betfred/BETVICTOR).

The head-to-head record favours Norway who have won ten of the meetings, five have ended drawn and the Netherlands have won just two. Both teams are not blessed with goalscorers and as such the best bet might be in taking the under 2.5 goals at 10/11 (BETVICTOR/188 BET) as both sides look to keep it tight.

The final game in Group B is the one between Germany and Iceland with the Germans very strong favourites at 2/11 (188 BET). The Germans have a faultless head-to-head record against Iceland winning each of their 12 meetings between these sides scoring 48 goals and conceding three goals in these games.

The best bet is in taking Germany to win the game to nil at 5/6 (paddy Power) as in the five competitive meetings between them the Germans have scored 19 goals without reply.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Germany to beat Iceland to nil, 5/6 (paddy Power)
SILVER: Under 2.5 goals Norway and the Netherlands, 10/11 (BETVICTOR/188 BET)
BRONZE: Patrizia Panico to score anytime v Denmark, best available price
