CHAMPIONSHIP

Leicester are eight points clear at the top of the Championship though their march to the title has been halted a little by two straight draws. Up next for the Foxes is a home game with Ipswich and the visitors are unbeaten in their last five games. The Suffolk side have picked up a point in their last two away games and seem over-priced to do so here and they can be backed alongside the draw in the double chance market at odds of 11/8 (BETVICTOR).

It is Burnley who sit in second place and the Clarets take on Nottingham Forest in the game of the day in the Championship. Forest are unbeaten in their last nine eight away from home in the Championship while Burnley are unbeaten in their last nine league games. The draw could be a very real option here at odds of 12/5 (bet365/BETVICTOR).

The best bet in the division though is Birmingham in the draw no bet market away to Blackpool. The Midlands side are awful at home and excellent away and will fancy their chances against a Tangerines side that have won since November.

RECOMMENDATIONS: Birmingham draw no bet v Blackpool, 6/4 (paddy Power)
Ipswich/draw double chance v Leicester, 11/8 (BETVICTOR)

LEAGUE ONE

No doubt about the game of the day in League One and that is the one that pits top of the table Brentford against third placed Wolves with the Bees the 6/4 (bet365/BETVICTOR/william hill) favourites for the game at Griffin Park. The London side have won their last ten league home games though have a tough test here against a Wolves team who have won each of their last five. If you fancy the visitors you can back them at 21/10 (boylesports) while the draw is 12/5 (bet365/BETVICTOR).

Hoping that those two teams play out a draw will be second placed Leyton Orient who are evens (BETVICTOR/CORAL) to see off Swindon. The Robins hve drawn four of their last six and this game to end all square is 16/5 (william hill).

It is a difficult set of fixtures this weekend so I can not find anything of value in the match markets though in the side betting markets one thing does stand out and that is Notts County to keep a clean sheet. The Shrews played three at the back at home to Port Vale last weekend which was more like a five with cover in midfield and showed little attacking intent. It is now six blanks from their last ten games for the visitors and against a County side with clean sheets from two of their last four at home this looks the bet.

RECOMMENDATION: Notts County to keep a clean sheet, 7/4 (WINNER/SPREADEX)

LEAGUE TWO

Chesterfield are the leaders in League Two and have taken 14 points from their last six games and are just evens (GENERAL) to defeat Wycombe on Saturday. The side playing at home though has won the last six meetings between the pair and this will be Wycombe on Saturday.

If Chesterfield do slip up then second placed Scunthorpe will hope to take advantage and they are just 10/11 (GENERAL) to see off Portsmouth. Pompey though have started showing signs of life and have lost just one of their last six.

Luke Williams has netted two goals in his last three games for Hartlepool and he looks worth an interest at 5/2 (bet365/paddy Power) to score against bottom of the table Northampton. The Cobblers have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 games. RECOMMENDATION: Luke Williams to score v Northampton, 5/2 (BET365/P.POWER)
