It is FA Cup fourth round time and 12 games are scheduled to take place on Saturday, here is the first of our two part guide to the action.

The live lunchtime game in the FA Cup from Bournemouth where the Cherries will play host to Liverpool (12:45, ITV). The home team are the 9/1 (boylesports) outsiders to shock the Premier League outfit. As good a job as Eddie Howe is doing it is likely that even a rotated Liverpool side should have too much class for the Cherries and bookmakers agree making the Reds just 2/5 (GENERAL) for victory. I think the way to play this game is to take Lewis Grabban in the anytime scorer market as the Bournemouth striker can celebrate a new contract with a goal against a Liverpool side with just two clean sheets away from home this season. Take the Cherries frontman at 7/2 (TOTESPORT/betfred) to add to his 11 goals.

Birmingham have already knocked Swansea out of the League Cup this season and are 29/10 (BETVICTOR) to knock them out of the FA Cup on Saturday. The Welsh side are in a bad run of form with just one from their last ten games. The Midlands side are difficult to beat with just two defeats from their last 13 games. I would recommend then taking Birmingham at 7/8 (bet365) with a 0.5 start in the Asian Handicap market. This bet will pay out if the game ends in a win for the home side or ends all square which I think is the most likely result. Bolton and Cardiff meet at the Reebok in a game between two sides who will have managers hoping for an answer following some recent disappointments. The Lancashire side suffered an embarassing 7-1 loss to Reading while Cardiff have slipped to the bottom of the Premier League. With the league a priority for the Welsh side I can not be backing them at 15/8 (BETVICTOR) though nor could I be siding with Bolton at 7/4 (betfred).

An all Championship battle will take place at Huddersfield when Charlton make the trip to the Galpharm Stadium. The home team are a little too short for my liking at 20/21 (GENERAL) despite the fact they sit in 13th while the visitors are 21st. The Addicks are a difficult side to beat of late and have lost just one of their last seven. The draw could be an option at 51/20 (WINNER) while the London side can be backed at 7/2 (bet365).

Watford can at least console themselves with a financial reward for their trip to the Emirates because they will certainly not get anything from their FA Cup game with Man City. City are on fire at the moment and are as short as 1/9 (BETVICTOR/WINNER) to win the game or 2/5 with the same firms in the half time/full time market. The best way to play the game is in the scorer markets where Marcos Lopez is 11/4 (SKYBET) to net at anytime.

Port Vale take on Brighton at Vale Park and the Championship side are the 19/20 (BETVICTOR/william hill) favourites for the game. The League One side are no mugs at home with just one defeat from their last nine and with the Seagulls perhaps tempted to rest a few take Vale at 21/20 (bet365) with a 0.5 start on the Asian Handicap which will pay out on the draw or victory for the home team.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Birmingham +0.5 on Asian Handicap v Swansea, 7/8 (bet365)
SILVER: Port Vale +0.5 on Asian Handicap v Brighton, 21/20 (BET365)
BRONZE: Lewis Grabban to score anytime v Liverpool, 7/2 (TOTESPORT/betfred)
