Although not a full schedule of fixtures because of the FA Cup a number of Football League games will be taking place this weekend and here is our guide to the best of the bets.

Leicester can go eight points clear at the top of the Championship if they see off Middlesbrough and they are 17/20 (william hill) to register a seventh straight victory in the league. A word of caution though Boro are showing signs of improvement under Aitor Karanka with five wins and a draw from their last six Championship games.

Also in the Championship Blackburn and Derby do battle at Ewood Park and the Rams are 19/10 (william hill) for their fifth win from their last seven away games. Rovers though have lost just three home games this season so this looks a game to swerve. Ipswich take on Reading at Portman Road with the Suffolk side looking to get back to winning ways after going six games without a victory in all competitions. The Royals meanwhile will be full of confidence after 7-1 victory over Bolton. You can back Ipswich at 13/10 (GENERAL) while the Reading win is 12/5 (bet365/BETVICTOR).

A run of nine league games without a win saw the end of Paul Ince an appointment as manager that nobody will be shocked to see did not work out. Barry Ferguson is the caretaker boss and the Scots midfielder is 11/10 (BETVICTOR/STAN JAMES) to lead Blackpool to a victory over Doncaster while Rovers are 3/1 (bet365/boylesports) chances and 7/4 (SKYBET/william hill/BWIN) in the draw no bet market. After a big 3-0 victory over Wigan last time out confidence will be high and this looks the way to play the game.

Third placed Wolves are among the 12 teams in action on Satruday afternoon and the 3/4 (GENERAL) on them winning at home to Bristol City will be a popular bet on the coupons. A word of caution though the Robins are showing signs of life under Steve Cotterill and are now five games unbeaten in the league with three draws and two victories. City will also take heart from the black Country side have won just two of their last eight in all competitions. Wolves tend to be tough at home but that being said I could not put anyone off City in the draw double chance market at odds of 11/10 (GENERAL).

A better bet though might be in the anytime scorer market in the game between Notts Couty and Walsall. Midfielder Jack Grealish has added an attacking element to his game under boss Shaun Derry and has found the net four times in his last nine and twice in the last four. Grealish can be backed at 3/1 (bet365) to score anytime and this looks decent value.

It is almost a full fixture list in League Two with 22 of the 24 sides in action. Leaders Scunthorpe are among those who will take to the pitch and they are 7/5 (BETVICTOR/william hill) to win away at Dagenham and Redbridge.

The game of the day sees third placed Burton take on sixth placed Fleetwood and I like the look of the Brewers here. These sides are third and sixth in the table but recent home form and away form suggests that Burton need to be backed as they have won seven of their last eight at their own ground, drawing the other. Fleetwood meanwhile have lost four of their last on their travels including at Burton in the FA Cup in December so take the 7/5 (bet365/WILLIAM HILL).

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Burton to beat Fleetwood, 7/5 (BET365/WILLIAM HILL)
SILVER: Doncaster draw no bet v Blackpool, 7/4 (SKYBET/WILLIAM HILL/BWIN)
BRONZE: Jack Grealish to score anytime v Walsall, 3/1 (BET365)
