SUPERDOME to continue to haunt the 49ers

The opener of the triple header of live action in the NFL (18:00, SKY SPORTS) is the game between the Browns and the Bengals in Cincinnati. The Bengals are top of the AFC North with a 6-4 record and they will be pleased to back at home following two overtime losses on the road to Miami and Baltimore. Bookmakers make Cincinnati the 2/5 (SKYBET/BETVICTOR) favourites for this game as they look to make it five wins from five home games. The Bengals have also won each of their last three home games against Cleveland. The Browns will hope that their victory over Baltimore last time out before a bye week will mark a turning point to the season. As it boosted their record to 4-6. Cleveland did win 17-6 when these sides met in week four with Andy Dalton having an afternoon to forget and they will take confidence from this.

Speaking of Dalton he has looked a little shaky in recent weeks and was sacked in overtime in a loss to Miami and has already thrown 13 interceptions this season. Jason Campbell is not as explosive but a model of consistency with no interceptions in the last two games. I think then it has to be worth a little interest on the 17/10 (william hill) on the Bengals to have the most turnovers of the two sides.

The second live game of the evening (21:25, SKY SPORTS) sees the 49ers and the Saints do battle in New Orleans. The game marks the return of San Francisco to the Superdome for the first time since their loss in the Superbowl final. This time out they face a New Orleans side who are 7-2 for the season and a remarkable 5-0 in front of their own fans. The Saints own a combined home record total of 176-75 at the Superdome this season and if the 49ers are hoping to exorcise their demons then they are mistaken. The 49ers offence could not even make the Redzone last week against Carolina and against a Saints side that ranks third in opposing passing yards it will not be easy for them. I think you have to take the Saints to cover the 3.5 point spread against the 49ers at odds of 21/20 (betway/YOU WIN/32 RED) has to be worth taking.

The final game of the evening sees Kansas City travel to Denver in the early hours of Monday Morning (CHANNEL 4, 01:30). A visit to Denver represents the toughest test by far of the Chiefs unbeaten record. Denver are 8-1 for the season and 5-0 at home with Peyton Manning also passed fit to play all the signs are in place for a Broncos win though odds of 3/10 (BETVICTOR) look much too short. The Chiefs are always dangerous and find a way to get the job done and they might appeal to some at 3/1 (TOTESPORT/betfred) or on the spread with a start between eight to ten.

The bet could be in the under markets on the Broncos points. The Chiefs have not allowed more than 17 points to any opponent this season, throw in the injury doubts over Manning and head-coach John Fox missing as he recovers from heart issues then the Denver offence might not be firing on all cylinders. It makes sense then to have a little play on them scoring under 29.5 points at 10/11 with paddy Power.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: New Orleans Saints -3.5 handicap v 49ers, 21/20 (betway/YOU WIN/32 RED)
SILVER: Denver Broncos to score under 29.5 points v Chiefs, 10/11 (paddy Power)
BRONZE: Cincinnati Bengals most turnovers v Browns, 17/10 (william hill)
