The Champions League continues on Wednesday with the Groups A-D taking centre stage. Here is our guide to the best of the bets from these games.

The early action on Wednesday (17:00, SKY SPORTS) comes from Russia where CSKA Moscow face Bayern. Bayern are four wins from four games in the group stages and are 9/20 (BETVICTOR/WINNER/YOU WIN) to make it 14 wins from their last 15 games. The Russians will hope that having achieved qualification already the Germans will step off the gas a little and they are 7/1 (GENERAL) with the draw 15/4 (GENERAL).

Man City have scored 18 goals in their last three home games and they should have no problems seeing off Viktoria Plzen in front of their own fans. Take the 5/4 (SKYBET) that City win this game by three or more goals as they in a rich vein of form at home.

The top two in Group A meet as Bayer Leverkusen entertain Man United. The Germans are the 6/4 (GENERAL) favourites as they have won their last eight home games in the Champions League group stages. United though are unbeaten on two previous visits to Leverkusen and can be backed at 21/10 (bet365) while the draw is 12/5 (GENERAL).

Doentsk are available at 7/10 (BETVICTOR)to see off Sociedad though that looks a little short on a side with no win in their last four home games in this competition. The best bet is under 2.5 goals at odds of at 21/20 (BETVICTOR). Shakhtar have kept clean sheets in five of their last six games and this would have paid out in five of their last seven CL home games. It also would have paid out in seven of the last eight Sociedad games in this competition.

You have to feel sorry for the Real Madrid fans who ordered thousands of masks to celebrate Cristiano Ronaldo ahead of their Champions League game with galatasaray. Sadly the Portuguese international is unlikely to feature through injury. Madrid will need someone to step up to take on the Ronaldo pressure and odds of 1/3 (WINNER) look far too short if he is a doubt. I like the idea of siding with the Turkish side on the Asian Handicap if the Portuguese star is absent. You can get a 1.75 start at 788/1000 with ladbrokes. This bet will pay out as a full win if galatasaray win, the match ends drawn or they lose by one, as a half loss if they lose by two and a full loss if they lose by three or more.

The other game in the group sees Juventus take on Copenhagen with the Italians to win to nil likely to prove popular at 4/6 (boylesports/ladbrokes/CORAL) as they have done this in five of their last six matches.

PSG have dominated Group C with three wins and one draw and they are 2/5 (GENERAL) to see off Olympiakos. The Greek side will be no pushovers and have a lot of firepower having grabbed a goal in each of their last 12 matches and I think they can score against a PSG defence that still carries a few question marks. Take the evens (boylesports/BWIN) on the both teams to score bet.

Benfica face a must win game against Anderlecht and the Portuguese side are 11/10 (GENERAL) for victory though they have not won away from home in this competition since October 2011 and with better bets available I suggest you look elsewhere.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Man City to beat Viktoria Plzen by three or more goals, 5/4 (SKYBET)
SILVER: Galatasaray +1.75 on Asian Handicap v Real M, 788/1000 (ladbrokes)
BRONZE: YES both teams to score PSG V Olympiakos, evens (BOYLESPORTS/BWIN)
