Stoke City will be able to replace Swansea in ninth should the Potters beat Hull at home and the Swans fail to beat Burnley. Whilst Mark Hughes` men`s 10th position is currently safe, Newcastle could close the gap on the Midlands side to one point should they beat Villa at St James` Park and Hull get the better of the home side here.

Steve Bruce`s visitors are in dire need of a victory as they fall further towards the bottom of the Premier League table. Whilst a win could see them go to as high as 12th, the Tigers may find themselves only one point off the drop zone should they lose to Stoke and other results go against them tomorrow.

The Potters and Hull have only met once this season, that being at the KC Stadium back in August. Nikica Jelavic grabbed the opening goal for the home side just three minutes before half-time and the score remained 1-0 until central defender Ryan Shawcross levelled up with less than 10 minutes to go to see the spoils shared.

Betvictor have the best price on this reverse fixture ending 1-1 once again, 13/2 the odds with that bookmaker. Jelavic is available at 8/1 (bet365, betfair, boylesports, ladbrokes) to open the scoring for the second occasion against the mid-table side whilst Shawcross is 33/1 with paddy Power to be the last goalscorer of the match.

Stoke`s superior league position and home advantage means that it is they who are the favourites to claim all three points against their visitors tomorrow afternoon. william hill have installed City at evens. Hull, on the other hand, can be supported at odds of 15/4 with bet365 to steal a win from the Britannia Stadium. A second successive draw of any configuration can be picked up at 5/2 with bet365, betfred, sportingbet and Totesport.

The favourites will be looking to accumulate back-to-back wins following their 2-1 defeating of Aston Villa away from home last weekend but this might be more difficult than in first seems with their recent home form mixed.

Hughes` men have scooped only seven points from their last five top tier games at home, a 4-1 humiliation at the hands of reigning Premier League champions Manchester City not their finest hour in front of their home supporters last time out. Regardless, Stoke scored seven times in these matches, a pair of players in good recent home form.

The first of these men is Jonathan Walters who managed to nab the match-ball in his side`s 3-1 victory over the struggling Queens Park Rangers. The 31-year-old striker is currently a 3/1 chance (32red, 888sport, unibet) to add to his tally at any time whilst he can also be backed at 80/1 with paddy Power and william hill to contribute another hat-trick.

Mame Biram Diouf is the other on-fire Stoke striker after managing to score both goals in their 2-0 win at home against West Bromwich Albion. Whilst the Senegalese star is the 5/1 favourite with most bookmakers to open the scoring once again, he is also 11/1 (bet365, unibet) to grab another two or more goals against Hull.

Finding the back of the net at home against Hull shouldn`t be too hard, the Tigers having conceded eight times in their last five games on their travels. Whilst their away form could be improving, they drew 1-1 with Manchester City in their last top tier away game away from the KC Stadium, Stoke are still only 11/8 with Coral to score over 1.5 past opposition keeper Allan McGregor.

A Hull clean sheet is unlikely at 3/1 Spreadex.
