PADDY POWER have a special offer for new customers this weekend who can place a maximum £10 bet on Man United to win the Manchestert derby and instead of the regular price of 23/10 they will pay out on 7/1. For those without an account with the Irish firm this is an excellent introductory offer.
The game at the Etihad (16:00,SKY) looks like being a cracker between the two sides who have seven points from their four games and will compete for the title.
United are the 27/10 (william hill) outsiders though they can take encouragement from the fact that the away side has won four of the last five meetings between the pair. The Red Devils will also be encouraged by the fact that Wayne Rooney has hit form. City are tough at home having won seven of their last eight in front of their own fans in the Premier League with that one defeat coming against Norwich at the end of the season. The blue half of Manchester can be backed at 13/10 (paddy Power) while the draw is a 12/5 (GENERAL) chance.
Six of the last seven meetings between the pair at the Etihad have featured two goals or fewer so take the under 2.5 goals at 21/20 (STAN JAMES/betway).
Arsenal take on Stoke in the early game on Sunday (13:30, SKY) as the Gunners look to continue a fine run of form that has seen them win each of their last six in all competitions. The North London side have won each of their last five at the Emirates against Stoke and are 4/11 (GENERAL) for a sixth straight victory.
Stoke will take heart from the way they have started the season taking seven points from four games including a draw with Man City. The Potters are expected to prove stubborn opposition and are 11/1 (william hill) while the draw is a 17/4 (bet365/BETVICTOR) chance. Mathieu Flamini will likely be tasked with coping with the physical presence of the Stoke midfield and the Arsenal midfielder is value at 11/4 (BETVICTOR/888 SPORT) to be a shown a card as he has already been booked in both appearances this season.
Tottenham travel to Cardiff this weekend and will be full of confidence after a 2-0 victory over Norwich in which they should won by five or six. Spurs will likely have the bulk of possession once more but will have to be patient for goals against an organized home side. It is 19/20 (BETVICTOR/ladbrokes/william hill) an away victory, the draw is 13/5 (GENERAL) while the Welsh side to get all three points like they did against Man City is priced at 7/2 (bet365/william hill/betway).
The bet in this game could be in the anytime assist market where it depends on team selection but Don Cowie has to be value at 8/1 (boylesports) as he has already created the last two goals the Welsh side have scored in the league.
The final game this weekend is the game between Crystal Palace and Swansea where I am going to side with the Welsh side at 11/8 (BETVICTOR/ladbrokes/WILLIAM HILL) despite having played in the Europa League on Thursday. If you look at the talent Swansea had on the bench along with those who did not feature I imagine Palace would start most of these players. Take Swansea then to come out with all three points from their visit to London.
