I spent a lovely day in Valencia earlier this summer and I can promise any Swansea fans headed there that they are in for a great trip. It is a lovely city full of friendly people, wonderful architecture and plenty to eat and drink. Better still for the fans I think their football team looks capable of getting something from their game with the Spanish side.

Valencia are the 5/6 (BETVICTOR/william hill) favourites for the game on Thursday night at the Mestalla Stadium (18:00, ITV). The Spanish side have an impressive home record though have made a slow start to their domestic season taking just three points from their four league games so far this season.

Swansea meanwhile have picked up after losing their opening two league games beating West Brom and drawing with Liverpool on Monday night. The Welsh side will hope to do better than Stoke who last at the Mestalla last season (1-0). It is a tough act but I think they can get something at Valencia and the away win is 24/5 (STAN JAMES) while the same firm are going 14/5 the draw. The best advice then is to combine these two options at 6/5 (STAN JAMES) which gives you two chances.

Those looking for anytime goalscorer bet can get Jonas at 8/5 (888 SPORT/unibet/BWIN) while Helder Postiga is a 17/10 (paddy Power) chance. For Swansea Wilfried Bony is 3/1 (WINNER) while Michu is 10/3 (SPREADEX) and Pablo Hernandez is 6/1 (CORAL).

Wigan are also in Europa League on Thursday night (18:00, BT SPORT) and they are away to Zulte Waregem. The Belgian side currently sit fifth in their domestic league with just one loss from their seven league games. Odds then of 13/8 (STAN JAMES) on the home win make sense especially when you consider Wigan have won just two of their seven games played this season.

In addition consider an anytime scorer bet on Chelsea loanee Thorgan Hazard who is 16/5 (paddy Power) to score at anytime as he is netted four goals in his last six home goals and is likely to be on penalties. In the last home game with Anderlecht he was involved in all four of the Zulte goals, creating three and scoring one. He will fancy his chances against a Wigan side that has shipped at least two goals in four of their six games so far this season.

Tottenham are the third domestic side in action in the Europa League and they should have few problems seeing off Tromso (20:05, ITV4) at White Hart Lane on Thursday night.

The Norwegian side are just 13th (fourth bottom) in their domestic league after a run that has seen them win just one of their last ten though that win did come over leaders Rosenborg last time out. It is a massive 25/1 (william hill/WINNER) an away victory.

The North London side should win (1-6 BETVICTOR/william hill/paddy Power) and win well (11/10-SKYBET to win by three or more) though the odds do not appeal to me. I think some value could be found in the anytime scorer market though you need to keep an eye out for team news asTottenham have a big squad and will look to rotate with the Premier League the number one priority.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Swansea/Draw double chance v Valencia, 6/5 (STAN JAMES)
SILVER: Zulte Waregem to beat Wigan, 13/8 (STAN JAMES)
BRONZE: Thorgan Hazard to score anytime v Wigan, 16/5 (paddy power)
