Kasami massive value to net against Palace

Monday Night Football returns and this week it comes from Selhurst Park as Crystal Palace take on Fulham (20:00, SKY). Bookmakers are split as to which side to make favourites with Palace the marginal favourites at 7/4 (bet365/paddy Power/william hill). Ian Holloway and his men have found it difficult to adjust to life in the Premier League and they have just three points from their seven league games this season though did beat Sunderland at home.

Fulham gained a vital three points last time out when they saw off Stoke and now will be looking to build on this at Palace and are 15/8 (STAN JAMES) to do so. The Whites have a reputation of being a terrible away side but against teams in the bottom half of the table the form is not so bad with them having lost just four of their last eleven. A lot of these games have ended drawn and the game to end all square is available at 12/5 (BETVICTOR).

The head-to-head record between the sides also favours Fulham who have lost just one of their last six league meetings with the Eagles, winning four of these.

Goals might be in short supply as these sides have scored just five goals each in the Premier League season. In addition Fulham have failed to find the net in nine of their last 16 Premier League away games including the last two. The under 2.5 goals has been the result in seven of the last eight Fulham away games though bookmakers have spotted this and priced it accordingly at 31/40 (BETVICTOR).

A better way to play this then is in taking the evens (GENERAL) on the NO in the both teams to score market. This would have paid in three of the last four Crystal Palace matches and 12 of the last 16 Fulham Premier League away games including each of their last five. Dimitar Berbatov is at the head of the anytime market at 9/4 (BETVICTOR/BWIN) though he has yet to find the net this season. Darren Bent has two though he might be a risk at starting on the bench, for those interested he can be backed at 12/5 (bet365/BETVICTOR).

Pajtim Kasami has just one goal to his name this season however that does not mean he should be as big as 25/1 (bet365) to score the opener against Palace. The Swiss midfielder was handed a role behind the frontman against Stoke and if he continues in that role could find himself in a big number of attacking positions. The player is strong in the air so can be a threat at set-pieces as well as averaging two points a game so this looks a great each-way bet.

Those looking for a Palace scoring option will see that Dwight Gayle has netted twice this season and is 11/4 (BWIN) with the same firm offering the same price on strike-partner Marouane Chamakh while Cameron Jerome is a 3/1 (BWIN) chance.

These two teams are deep in the relegation mix and three points would be crucial for them. Palace are the bookmakers favourites for the drop at 2/11 (boylesports) with Sunderland at 8/11 (SKYBET/boylesports). A number of other teams are in danger of getting caught up in a relegation battle with Cardiff (BETVICTOR) and Hull 9/4 (GENERAL) chances. Norwich, Fulham and Stoke are also likely to be in the relegation battle. The best value though is the 9/1 (BWIN) are offering on West Ham to be relegated. The Hammers are being flattered by that win over Tottenham which came against the run of play. That was their only league victory since the opening day of the season and they are just one point above the bottom three.

BEST OF THE BETS

GOLD: Patjim Kasami, EW to score first v Palace, 25/1 (bet365)
SILVER: West Ham to be relegated from the Premier League, 9/1 (BWIN)
BRONZE: NO in both teams to score Palace v Fulham, evens (GENERAL)
