Gleneagles is the current favourite for Saturday`s 2000 Guineas with just 28 declarations left following a number of withdrawals and supplements. Of those additions to the list of runners, Roger Varian`s Newbury winner Intilaaq and the Andre Fabre-trained Territories are the most high profile. The former can be backed at 12/1 at all of 32red, 888sport, betfair and ladbrokes whilst Territories is the current second favourite in the betting at 7/1 (betfair, Betvictor, betway, sportingbet).

Aidan O`Brien`s favourite is still available at 11/8 at sportingbet and will be looking to secure the Classic after looking progressive last season. The highlight of Gleneagles` season was his sealing of the Group One Vincent O`Brien National Stakes at the Curragh before he failed to make an impression in a Longchamps Group One in his final outing. O`Brien could saddle another three charges, with Highland Reel, Ol` Man River and War Envoy all still in the running to appear on Saturday. All with some connection to the Magnier and Tabor families, Highland Reel took home Goodwood`s Group Two Veuve Clicquot Vintage Stakes and will be looking to take a step up in class to secure this Classic title. Whilst most bookmakers are offering Highland Reel at between 8/1 and 12/1, betfair have a massive 20/1 on the Galileo-sired mount doing the business at Newmarket.

Of the other pair, Ol` Man River is another Group Two winner after taking the Beresford Stakes at the Curragh. He can be supported at 12/1 at both Coral and ladbrokes. War Envoy has never picked up a Group race but has placed in such high quality company, finishing a length-and-a-half behind Estidhkaar in Doncaster`s Champagne Stakes for example. Bet at Stan James and back him at 100/1.

Estidhkaar is up for grabs at 8/1 with both betfred and paddy Power. Richard Hannon`s mount has made one appearance this season, losing out to Muhaarar in a Group Three at Newbury by just a neck. The daughter of Dark Angel still has her Group Two win to fall back on and will be all the better after this account opener.

Hannon could be another handler with his hands full this weekend with the potential running of all of Ivawood, Kool Kompany and Moheet in this race. Most bookmakers have installed Ivawood as a 14/1 chance following his failure to win the same Group Three that saw Muhaarar beat Estidhkaar. Ivawood was the favourite for that race and his disappointing performance has seen his 2000 Guineas credentials cool.

Elsewhere, betway have Kool Kompany at 33/1, the horse already a course and distance winner after taking the Group Three Craven Stakes just a fortnight ago. ladbrokes make Moheet another 33/1 chance, finishing behind Kool Kompany in the Craven Stakes.

Like Kool Kompany, Andrew Balding`s Elm Park is already a course and distance winner following his success in the Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes. The Qatar Racing Limited mount continued his streak of form by taking home the Group One Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster and looks well positioned to perform well here at 14/1 (paddy Power).

Bet365 have the best price on a number of potential wily outsiders. The first of these is The Wow Signal to whom they have given a price of 25/1. The Wow Signal will be up in trip from the 6f he conquered when securing the Group Two Coventry Stakes. His failure to compete when the favourite at Longchamps has also put many off.

The bookmaker also has the best price on all of Celestial Path, Sir Mark Prescott`s listed winner (25/1) and Make Believe, Andre Fabre`s horse out of Makfi can be backed at 33/1.
